WTB 240z & 260z Door trims BLACK

im chasing after 240z and 260z(2seater) door trims

if anyone has a pair they want to get rid of please let me know

preferably in black

74 260z 2 seater and 73 240z

im really after anything

I have seen OEM 260z 2 seater ones but expect to pay $1200 at the least for these. Brand new condition.

 

Can get 240z style ones cheaper around $700 - $800 a pair again brand new (OEM).

 

Second hand good door trims don't come up for sale often.

 

Alternative is to look for a pair of LHD ones which have an additional 2 hole for the grab handle that is fitted to passenger side doors. You could possibly deal with in a few ways. However by the time you pay for shipping from US and find a good second hand set etc.. Your only looking at a couple of hundred dollars difference between good second hand (with additional holes) and brand new OEM.

Must be on 240 only, my 260 doesn't have an additional grab handle.

Also on top of being a 74 you can only use 74 260z door trims as the lock snib is located about 2 inches further back then the later ones.

So 280z ones will not fit.

The ones on yahoo that gav is talking about are for the later doors.

I have seen one door trim for sale in aus for early 260.... I bought it.

And I have seen a pair of nos trims on yahoo for $1600 plus shipping,duty,street ears commission ..

I was at about $2000 when I told Jess not to worry about it.

Alternatively you can get the door trim material (for 240z) as reproduction material (in any colour) but you don't get the masonite backing for it.

 

There was a guy on HybridZ.org doing carbon fiber or fiberglass door trims that could be used instead for the backing portion of the trim. However I'm not sure what the status with that was and if he actually made any in the end.

 

It could work out cheaper doing it that way.

Ok so the downside to second hand units is that the masonite backing is almost always broken / perished / warped.

I think it wouldn't go cheap enough to make the pair on eBay AU too expensive (like I say they are priced very well!)
