HELLFIRE! Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Hello everyone, I bought my first Z about 7 years ago (1976 260Z 2+2 5Sp Man) A little while ago I stumbled upon my new aquisition and couldn't say no. Shes a 1975 260Z 2 seater (auto) and in need of a lot of lovin' So I've got a lot of work ahead of me, no scratch that I will be paying for a lot of work to be done. My vision is of a moderately modified Z. Keeping her white Changing front spoiler due to it being split as well as being over the top (talking with allZParts at the moment) New dash engine needs some lonin' new rear bumper Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted November 29, 2007 Administrators Posted November 29, 2007 Hi mate, Welcome to the forum, your member 701 which is great. It seems like there are more Z owners around everyday. Looks like you own some nice looking Z's. I tend to agree about the spoiler on the white one. I'm not a huge fan of the style myself. I prefer the original lines. Good luck and be sure to drop in and ask any questions. Quote

V8Datto Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Hey, Welcome Nice looking cars, If your going to throw out the front spoiler I'll take it off your hands, I've been looking for one like that. How bad is the damage? Quote
yellazed Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I tend to agree about the spoiler on the white one. I'm not a huge fan of the style myself. I prefer the original lines. I think that front air dam/spoiler would be fine on a dark coloured car. White makes it stand out a bit. I don't mind it, though. Anyway, welcome aboard "HELLFIRE!" and keep us updated with progress on the 2-seater. (Please don't take offence at my 'bagging' of 2+2s in the other thread) Wal F Quote
HELLFIRE! Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 Yes the front spoiler is up for grabs. I will take a pic tomorrow of the split in the spoiler so you can get a better idea, should be fixable in the hands of a good technician. Yellazed, you may have hit on something with the colour issue. To me white is a very 80's colour and the spoiler accentuates that, the problem is that she is a car of the 70's and I would like to keep it that way. So I guess it's purely psychological. Oh, and I could never be offended by someones opinion, but she (2+2) might My actual location is Katunga, Victoria. Katunga is 2.5 hours north of Melbourne on the Goulburn Valley Highway, almost on the Murray. When I typed up my location the first time when editing my profile, I typed, "Knocking back Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters at the restaurant at the end of the universe" for some reason the forum software doesn't like it. HELLFIRE! Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 Ok so here are some more detailed shots of the spoiler, seriously it is in poor condition. Quote
yellazed Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 That's not bad at all. Looks quite repairable. Quote
HELLFIRE! Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 I just had a closer inspection of one of the spare parts packages that came with the car and realized that the item was for a 240Z not a 260Z. The parts in question are lens covers for the rear taillight assembly and the front indicators. Four items in total and still in Nissan packaging, but are probably second hand. Bottom line,..I don't have a use for them. OOps, ignore the first two attachments. Can't figure out how to get rid of them. Quote
