Hi guys.

I'll be getting my new 16" rims soon & will be looking into brake kits shortly after.

I've found these conversion kits from the states & wanting to see your opinions. I've been reading up on hybridz & whatever comes up on google, some conversion kits use maxima calipers which aren't available here? I could still source brake pads easily enough?

I'm open to suggestions. I'll be getting a proper brake workshop to put them in as I'm not confident doing the work myself

Thanks everyone  :)

I put disks on the rear cuz it looks radder!

;D

That and to replace my leaking wheel cylinders cost nearly as much as i paid for the entire disk conversion.

I'll be looking into an engine conversion later on, I like the look of big calipers & I'm a bit of a lead foot  :P

I went from a car with these:

The rear disc kits I posted up still use the stock handbrake with no mods which I like but there's about $300 price difference between the kits, anybody know why this would be the case?

Get the willwoods allround mate. Theyre epic and will provide more than enough stopping power for whatever conversion you whack in it.

They just are not road legal for Australia.

I have Silvermine stage 4 fronts (vented hilux s12w) 'next size up from the zstore ones you linked' and r31 rear brakes with the patrol 1" master cylinder and stopping power is amazing. So good that i have purchased another set for my friends 260z.

All up costed me around $800 for everything new discs front and rear, hoses, caliper rebuilds, master cylinder etc.

PM Scoota G. He makes the rear caliper brackets and can even rebuild and modify handbrake mechanism for you at a very decent price.
