This looks to be a LOT less work than the one guy on HybridZ did to get a DOHC L-series, by cutting apart 3 KA heads... I'm not sure the gain would be "so little". There is a lot of potential and benefits there with a crossflow DOHC head that a none crossflow wouldn't have. Quote

Of course, but the way I read it, that KA conversion was more of a engineering exercise to produce a TC cross-flow L series, than than anything else. I'm not sure the gain would be "so little". There is a lot of potential and benefits there with a crossflow DOHC head that a none crossflow wouldn't have. Such as? In an NA application the performance benefit of a TC, 4v head onto an L-series - IMHO - would not justify the added cost of engineering to make worthwhile. Quote

I think the way PMC did my RB26 head looks easier, converting the L bottom end to a timing belt and dry sump. That way you don't have to make custom rocker covers either. The chain setup is cool though. Quote

So I'll stop posting in this thread now Why shouldn't the reason I stated be enough to do it? Like I said it's more than enough of a reason for me to do it. For some people one reason is enough to make a project desirable. I didn't realize there was a minimum number of reasons needed to embark on a project... If it wasn't for the fact that I had a different engine plan in mind when I bought my car, I likely would already have this swap started. Quote
