Scoota G Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Another Reverend!! I feel a fight a brewing. But jokes aside welcome. As our fearless leader said gumtree, i've seen them on there too. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 21, 2013 Moderators Posted October 21, 2013 I though Rev bought a Cedric for a split second... then I saw the location. Try emailing the Nissan Datsun Sports owners club (NDSOC) quite a few members collect Nissan's of almost every model. One member has plenty of those cars. Quote

sydney mike Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Thanks for the quick reply! I'll post on those forums you guys mentioned. Heres my 2 babes in same garage... lol Welcome, and nice garage you have there. If you didn't already know those cars were sold here as 260c's. I did own one myself years ago in brown with vinyl roof. Great car, ahead of it's time with interesting gadgets like fibre-optic lines to the brake lights so you know if your taillights are out. Real luxury cruiser. BTW, any details of your Zed? Best of luck in your project. Quote
Reverend Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 My Z is 1972 240z imported from CA. Currently has L24 engine and im putting in SK triple carbs with 3-2 header. Just a minor mod but should cheer it up quite nicely. I've drove about 10K with that little car, it works like a dream once you put some time to it. I once drove a 1200km road trip day after i changed head gasket IF any of you guys know any hint about any Cedric parts for sale in your area, send me a PM. I tried the Gumtree but couldnt find anything Ced related for sale. Up here part prices have gone haywire as the rust has eaten all the sheetmetal parts + rear bumpers. Quote

I imagine the biggest dilemna with Gumtree is finding someone who would be willing to send you parts overseas and ship them to you. I'm not sure if you would know this but an old Aussie Film called "The Big Steal" features a Nissan Cedric. Albeit it appears to be the older style model, and I'm not sure if the humour would cross the cultural divide but I love the film myself. Quote
Reverend Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Yea, shipping is a killer. But i have shipped tons of stuff from USA to here with minimal costs, im sure it can be worked out. Thank god there is still some parts available to this, i got a friend here who has LHD 2400GT Hako... imagine finding parts to that... Quote
