Riceburner Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Whoops, should've searched first. I'll give Rob a try as he is a little closer. I got Chris Wood to do my diff many years ago, he did an excellent job and was quite cheap. It's an RB20DET box with a Kameari super close gear set. Quote

I bought all new bearings to suit 71C including the bigger counter bearing, I didn't actually check the housing until I was about to bolt it all together. Haha, whoops! Quote
Riceburner Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Picked up the bell housing this arvo from Robco. Super quick job and great prices, he even checked the bolt holes and fitted a helicoil in one that was stripped. Highly recommended! Quote

Do a dummy assy to check for clearance for anti rattle thin shim gear behind the new larger counter front bearing. Bit of kids plasticene or play-doh. That bearing needs oil getting into it. If 71c cluster, the top selector rod hole in bell needs drilling out to 16mm. Quote
Riceburner Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 $60 was the price, he had it finished a 9am this morning. I have the selector drilled to 16mm, the inner face near counter gear has been plunge cut 2mm deep at a 3.5"dia, this was all done before taking it to Robco. Will do Jason, Hopefully test fit on the weekend and install in the car if all goes well Quote
