Hi Z ppl,

I own a 240z 2 seater, which used to have a sunroof.  A sheet of metal has been spot welded in place, but will never be as strong as an a original piece. Being a piece of metal on the top of the roof, the heat and weather changes will be too hard to get right with bog/filler!

So if anyone is wrecking a 240/260 Z 2 seater, with a perfectly good roof.... For sale...  Would love to hear from you.

Cheers,

Rob

Sorry roof I am cutting off is for the 240z I am keeping for awhile, and selling the race shell with out the roof.

there was one in Sydney at a zcar wrecker who does rally with a Zd, expect $900.00 and over, you could get very close with a 2+2 skin, they are so close at that part I would try.

Not so. There is no structural stress on the roof skin, it is there merely to keep the sun and rain off the occupants. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Unless you are a 'Ledge' of this world, trying to achieve a Zed roof with no bog is a waste of time and effort. How do I know this? I've just spent the afternoon beating the tripe out of mine!

Sorry Peter... I didn't mean strength, I meant more from a finish point of view...  I imagine it would be easier and less time consuming to weld in another roof than try to bog/fill what I have...
