datberger Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Hi, I've been out of the Zed scene for a while but would like to get myself back behind the wheel of one. I'm after a 2 seater in very good condition, preferably well restored and rust-free. I'm located in Perth, but will consider cars Australia wide. PM me if you don't want to reply here. Stephen Quote
WA240Z Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Hi Stephen, Another new Perth zed nut, great to see. I noticed a, what looks to be, very good one on www.carpoint.com.au. Red 240z. Apparently restored about 10 years ago. What I liked about it was the quality and originality of the interior and engine bay. $30k I think. Billy Quote

I had seen that red 240 but until today I was interested in a WA based car. That deal has now fallen through so I will have to start broadening my search. I might contact the owner. datberger Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? Seriously though, I will be offering good money for a good car. I am open to totally stock or fairly modified road registered cars. Quote
dat2kman Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 And you are prepared to spend how much to obtain a car? And you are prepared to spend how much to then make the car do and perform how you want? What do you want it for? A weekend fun toy, a once a month track weapon, a tarmac missile? Quote

And you are prepared to spend how much to then make the car do and perform how you want? What do you want it for? A weekend fun toy, a once a month track weapon, a tarmac missile? Fair questions. My budget is around $25K. The car will be used as a weekend toy that will mostly see road use. Having said that, I do enjoy the odd track day, so beneficial mods such as upgraded brakes, suspension and motor are welcome. My main concern with zeds is rust. And dealing with panel beaters to remove said rust. So a clean non-rusty car is a must. Quote
