reverendzed Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Hey guys as a still 'newbie' to the whole viczcar forum I thought I would post some pics of my piece of heaven on Earth! It's not often I get the time to get 'hands on' with my project but purchasing some flares from Ash recently had me really motivated. My bro who is a wicked sign artist just laid down some new matt vinyl stripes which has kept it in the 'old school style' that I love. Interior is complete and I will post some pics of that soon, I get most of my stuff from the U.S and will be heading back soon for another trip so if you are after anything that can be boxed up and bought back as luggage ....let me know! modular9 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 gidday mate NOOOICE ! Now for my question. I too have a 2+2 ... I thought the flares didnt work on the 2+2 rear half? How is the fit? What does it look like ? I have previously discounted flares on my young lady as she was a 2+2 and thought that flares didnt fit because of the different rear quarter. I also like the stripes as well ( thinking of white version for mine ) What I am really asking for is a shot of her bum if you dont mind! Quote

I bought some nice channel rubber from Clark's which really helps the finish between flare and guard. I will post another pic from the rear soon. Quote

Believe it or not the actual guards on a 2+2 and 2 seater are exactly the same. I found this out because a friend of mine was repairing his 2 seater 240z's guards and cut out some 2+2 ones. So having said that Flares should work just the same, although to me the flares look kinda odd on a 2+2. I guess because they were never officially released on a 2+2. There was a prototype of a 2+2 that was to have a Gnose and Flares but it never made it to production. Quote
