C.A.R. Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Apart from a couple of minor blemishes that will be attended to after I reassemble the car, it's come out GREAT! No comes reassembly... I'm just wondering how far to go with it now Quote
George Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 your bus looks like a Z to me did you paint it yourself? looks like a good job. Quote
koopa Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Looks good. You didn't want to paint the back with matching colors? Still looks good. Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 your bus looks like a Z to me did you paint it yourself? looks like a good job. Haha, Thanks George. No I didn't paint it myself - I got my local panel shop/mate to spray it. Looks good. You didn't want to paint the back with matching colors? Still looks good. Thanks Koopa. I'm (personally) not a fan of matching the rear light panel with the body colour. I'll be getting it repainted Charcoal, shortly. Quote
JP240z Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Lurch what colour is that? It looks exactly like the one sitting in my driveway, or it is definately the closest colour any other zed has to mine. At least you can be assured that I like it. Quote
koopa Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 I'd call that "Black Cherry". Our old family car was a 1998 Altima and the color looked Very similar to that. Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 I picked it out of the colour chart - I wanted something a bit lighter then the old colour. It's 'Protech FH65' colour - that's all I know Cheers for the comments guys Quote

JP240z Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Lurch, at the next viczcar meet I make it to, we seriously have to compare colours! That looks so similiar its not funny. However I'm not sure when the next meet I will make is, as I just lost my licence for 4 months. Courtesy of one 240Z and one stupid 18 year old head. Quote
sco_aus Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Lookin good there Lurch. Tidys up quite nice. Quote

No, it's not a North American thing. I've only seen a few with matching colors and I personally liked the way it looked on it. Although I can also see how it's nice to have a little bit of contrast. Here is an example. Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 18, 2007 Author Posted August 18, 2007 Yeah, It's all down to personal taste. JP, that's bad luck mate Hopefully you'll be able to make it to a summer meeting & we can compare. Though it's possible the camera makes it look darker then it really is... Quote
JP240z Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Yeah.... havent checked to see when the next meeting is, but if its within the next 23 days, I might be able to hit it up. Definately stolen my zed colour though... Although I think mine was a Toyota colour. Quote
Toecutter Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Next meeting is this Wednesday. 7:30pm at 5/54 Howleys Rd, Notting Hill which is just off Ferntree Gully Rd also near the back of Monash Uni Clayton Campus. Sulio Quote
