Hi!

I'd like to ask if anyone can help me with something. I'm selling my car which is very tidy, mechanically sound and with no mods. I took it for a RoadWorthy and they are quoting me $1500+ to fix and the car's only worth $3000. Do you know of anyone that can give me a "dodge" RWC? I was so shocked when they told me that because the car works absolutely fine. Im not a dodgy girl, but i just cannot afford this. i already have a buyer who wants to take the car on Monday 4th march. Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sell it with no rwc. There is no such thing as a 'dodgy' roadworthy anymore.

Testers will not risk their licenses so you can save some money.

My suggestion is to try a few other places and see how much they want to charge. There should be a list of everything that is wrong and if you are mechanically minded you can maybe do some of the work yourself and then bring it back to them to sign off.

You will be hard pressed to find anyone willing to do a 'dodgy' as you are selling not buying.

I know a dodgy roadworthy guy..... can do one for a slab of Corona's.

He's at 123 Fake St in Springfield... Just say Buzz sent you...

Lots of helpful tips from the peanut gallery!

There are very few dodgy roadworthy's now...they are required to retain photographic evidence these days, and so they can be easily caught out. Particularly in the case of selling, you would be very lucky to find anyone who will help you there.

You can always sell the car WITHOUT RWC, and leave it for the new owner to get it. Obviously the price you get on the car will be lower, but if the new owner feels they can do the repairs cheaper than you, it is one way out of it.

Cheers
