potter260 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Hey guys just going through my spare parts and i have 3 complete dashes out of 260z.... but with 2 different fonts... just wondering why? 2 seater or 2+2 or years? Also anyone have any recommendations for places to get the dash re skinned? Also is there a way to test the gauges before i put a dash back together so i don't have to pull it apart again? sorry not very clear photos.... Thanks in advance Quote

There's a thread on classiczcars about how to do a DIY dash restoration, a few years on apparently still looks as good as when it was done. I think it'd be possible to replicate the skin pattern reasonably well if you could find some kind of putty/plastic that is moldable when hot & keeps its texture when cool. Quote
