  2. Hey Andrew, Hope there are still some spare places, will be nice to join the run. Cheers
  3. Hi Guys, I'm looking for some springs and maybe shocks too for my '77 260z. Was just scouring eBay for some Kings lowered springs (KDFL-04 / KDRS-09) and thought maybe someone has them lying around? Also looking for KYB's 361002 and 361003 which I'll most likely import from the US. I'm open to other options/brands. Cheers
  4. I'll bring a salad
  5. Hi Guys, I think 7' rims is plenty enough for me
  6. Hi Guys, I'm looking for superlites in preferably 16x7 or 15x7 to suit my 260z with stock suspension. I'll consider other wheels in this style and definitely would be interested in panasports http://www.performancewheels.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Superlite-15x7.jpg
  7. I'm looking for superlites/panasports look, but if I could borrow yours to make sure they fit, it would be great.
  8. I think we have different "performance tires" definition, and seeing from your profile that you like to track your car it makes sense. I'm looking more into best performing street tire than a race one made legal for the street. So looking preferably for Michelin Pilot Sport as they have very good reviews or Dunlop DZ102, or Bridgestone RE003 which all three are available in 205/55R16. Regardless, for 16" the rims are not available anywhere
  9. RE11's seem too much track oriented for my liking at this stage, but re003 do look like an option. Is there a big difference between 15 and 16 inch? Based on https://tiresize.com/calculator/ difference between 205/55R16 and 205/60/R15 is very small but I don't know how does that translate to driving. Size 1 Size 2 Diameter 632 627 -0.8% Width 205 205 0% Sidewall 112 122 +9.1% Circum. 1984 1969 -0.8%
  10. I've found the original tire rating for 260z was 1280lbs/580kg so 89 minimum. It does seem high, but those are factory specs.
  11. HI Guys, I'm just now looking for a set of new wheels and tires as tires I've bought the car with are of legal age Scoured through forums and found superlites 15x7 with 195-205/60 should work just right, unfortunately tires in this size are definitely lacking and only good performance oriented ones I could find were 195/55 which should still be good. It's all good, but my original tires 215/60R14 have load rating 91, and the ones I've found are 85? https://www.tyresales.com.au/buy/tyre/bridgestone/potenza_adrenalin_re003/195-55r15/138120 https://www.tyresales.com.au/buy/tyre/dunlop/direzza_dz102/195-55r15/144049 Should I just change my wheel size to 16x7, as the same tires in this size have same load rating, and there's much more choice? https://www.tyresales.com.au/buy/tyre/bridgestone/potenza_adrenalin_re003/205-55r16/138129 https://www.tyresales.com.au/buy/tyre/dunlop/direzza_dz102/205-55r16/149070 https://www.tyresales.com.au/buy/tyre/michelin/pilot_sport_4/205-55r16/129705 Size is almost the same so they should fit all the same, no?
  12. Good stuff! Thanks for help to get this organised
  13. Hi Guys, I'm easy and can do either BBQ at Peter's or one of the places Gav suggested. I'll plan to drive to Spencer too, but yeah I was hoping to a bit more of a chat than a drive. Anyhow with the ANZAC day maybe let's wait for a bit to see if there will any more attendees and decide the spot? Cheers
  14. Motorretro looks interesting, I was looking at similar workshop some time ago. But they don't seem to have any events lined up at the moment. Sounds like a beer night then, I'm happy to meet somewhere more central too.
  15. Hi Guys, Is there anyone on Sydney northern beaches who can aid with some classic cars experience to a newbie? I have few bits of general questions which would be easier to discuss over a beer than spamming the forum Cheers, Kuba BBQ and Social Saturday May 12th from noon PB's - Hornsby (PM for address) BYO Drinks We are down a private rd with plenty of parking. 1. 16. Thanks Craig, trying to find some more budget-friendly option
  17. Hi, As in the topic, I'm looking for a horn pad compatible with a 240z steering wheel. Edit: Wrong forum, any way to move this to wanted? Cheers, Kuba
  18. You can get basic myplates, white letters on black for 300 I think? What wheels is your car sitting on, I'm planning to change my set to something similar and yours look exactly like I want them
  19. Got back to this issue and I might have fixed it. The issue was definitely within the gauge itself as resistance on sender unit and connections in the dash was the same, so my plan was to disassemble the gauge and resolder any connections. Checking everything again I've noticed the reason for fluctuating infinite resistance, inside the gauge, there are two metal plates wrapped in a thin wire which flexes when current goes through the wire. One on the left side moves the gauge needle and the one on the right is some sort of a switch? When I applied a bit of pressure to the switch there was no fluctuation! The other side of the connection on this switch is threaded so I'm guessing it's some sort of adjustment, I've tightened it a quarter of a turn and the needle stays now in one place. I'm yet to test the accuracy of the gauge now, but I have a feeling it's alright. I've done about 200kms since last refill and it shows half a tank. Updated: Filled the tank full and happy to report the gauge is spot on the full mark! A question to the members more proficient in electrical problems, what's the switch I've adjusted responsible for?
  20. Looks like a good run, I hope next time I won't have to fight jet-lag to join
  21. Hi Guys, I overslept my alarms today so don't wait for me. Have a great cruise!
  22. Interested in seat covers, do you have foam inserts as well?
  23. Thanks man, I'll send you a PM.
