Well our thoughts are starting to shift. We've seen a nice rx7 series 4 but I'm more keen to stick to nissan. What about R31 and R32's ?

You struggle to find a 120y for $4000 these days. If it was around the $10000 mark I'd be coming for a look. If I was selling it and there were no hidden nasties I reckon I'd be advertising at around $30000 but it all comes down to how much you need to sell I guess.

Driving course definately on the cards first. Yeah I'm definately more interested in learning in something slow than having something with big power that I don't know how to use anyway. When I was asking about mods it was more in regards to seats , harnesses , Tyres and suspension. While I totally agree that an r32 or Silvia is best bang for buck. I think my mate and I are looking to start with something older and slower. Probably edging towards a Stanza as there still fairly cheap initially and it's a little nostalgic for us as it was the first car we got around in almost 20yrs ago. If we really get the bug we will upgrade in 12 months or so. Wouldn't mind being able to keep something club reg. also initially.

Hey guys, A mate and I are considering getting into Super sprints and Hillclimbs Neither of us have done it before accept for some buggy racing in the early years. Realistically we are only likely to do 3 or 4 meets a year but we're happy with that . So anyway I don't want use the Zed at this stage so we are looking for something cheapish to get us started in. It will be Datsun, either 200b Stanza 180b 1600 I suppose maybe even a 280zx or rough cheap 260z Maximum initial budget would be $5k but cheaper the better. I do know there will be plenty of ongoing cost. So I want to know pros and cons of these cars and what's the minimum mods we would need for a bit of track fun. We're not all that serious or competitive ( yet ) Any advice would be great and if you know of any cars that would be appreciated toi

Well thanks Benny, indicators all fixed and was all due to the wire in photo that I now have the red connector on. Only took around 12 hours of searching till Benny pointed me in the right direction. Seeing as you know the car Benny, do you know if the temperature gauge ever worked?

Well I have replaced flasher can with no luck. I tested the switch with a multi meter and its all good. I then checked voltage at the switch and on wiring from switch. 11 volts on input wire and 0.01 volts on each indicator wire. Something doesn't seem right would have expected same voltage on indicator sides aswell. I've also noticed when I turn hazards on front right blinker and Parker are flashing at the same time. So guess there's a short somewhere. I've spent about 8 hours on this so far and I can't work out what's going on!! I've removed every globe and inspected all wiring I can . It's getting really frustrating!!!! Any ideas? Also headlights only work on high beam and high beams only work when pass button is pushed . This hasn't bothered me as I thought previous owner may have just wired something backwards and everything was working. Indicators stopped working after I changed headlights to semi sealed h4 but these globes are actually less wattage then sealed beams so I wouldn't have thought that caused the problem .

Yeah I agree Dimitri, I've just been really keen to get together since I've just got my zed on the road. I reckon a winter meeting at the Jag club if possible or even just dinner at a pub or something could be could.

Hey guys, My indicators have stopped working? I changed the headlights to H4's tonight and now my indicators have stopped working though I don't think it's a related problem. What I have checked so far: Turned hazard lights on and all globes work. Checked and changed indicator fuse Hooked indicator flasher can to power supply ( think I blew it up :-\ ) Hooked up hazard light wiring to indicator flasher can, all lights stay on but don't flash when hazards are on. Hooked up indicator wiring to hazard flasher can , nothing happens. Hooked up indicator wiring to indicator flasher ( hoping it just sorted it self out ) NOTHING!!!! Checked indicator switch , nothing stands out to me. I need help guys, could it still be flasher can?

I know it's an old post, but how are the seats going. I've got brown leather seats in my Zed but really want them black. I was considering using the VHT spray which worked great on my vinyl back seat but I'm not sure how it will take to leather. Can this Dye be used to change colour also ?

I'll hopefully get there if I finish a couple of things on the Zed tonight.
