  1. I contacted chris jones again today to see how the 240z went. he told me the guy pushed it back a few more weeks and sent me some photos of the kit. Also he said the kit didn't come with any camber tops, which i think is abit poor considering the price tag and was one of the reasons i was leaning towards this kit. I also spoke to ken graham at accurate suspension underwood, he told me i'd be looking at $1600 a pair for coilover sleeves fitted and these are pretty much the best thing for a Z. I didn't expect that price tag... but if you have a good reputation for being the go to guy for datsuns then you can justify the price. In regards to camber adjustment as i am going to lower about 50-60mm would camber tops or adjustable control arms be the better option? or would i not need camber adjustment? cheers david
  2. The wheels look great. What are they? Having any more luck with the reduced price?
  3. Thanks for the replies, I called Chris Jones who is the managing director of Performance Suspension at labrador and he said the s30 kit is relatively new however he has been selling xyz for 5 years and has been the aus distributor for 3yrs. His father has been Doing suspension since 1976 and they do all aspects of suspension. Chris mentioned he has a 240z coming in next week for the coilovers and will be emailing me photos and specific's on the job as they go on. If anyone on the forum is the owner of the 240z i would like to talk to you also. He also went on to say he was thinking about some sort of sponsorship deal with Auszcar. I wasn't sure about any of that stuff so i sent him the site address and hopefully it comes to fruition... Attached a Link Chris sent me of a breakdown of the kit... Not very helpfull without dimensions but better than nothing cheers David 29646_8b9e4bdf3ec855cc715d93788dca46c75d03686c.pdf
  4. I thaught it would be too good to be true. There is a suspension shop on the gold coast who claim to be aus distributor and can supply and fit for just under $2000 incljding wheel alignment. I am a bit cautious but will try to look into this more. Cheers David
  5. hi guys anyone heard of these or have these on their Z?? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/200750945892?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648 cheers david
  6. Thanks guys, i called fulcrum and didn't have much luck. I got a quote from a suspension shop in the gold coast for a set of xyz coilovers fitted for just under $2000 including wheel alignment. Has anyone heard of these? They look the goods, if that means anything anymore.... Cheers David
  7. hi guys im just wondering if anyone could recommend any suspension shops that have been helpfull with suspension for their Z? i ask as im not heaps handy with that stuff and i want to lower my 260 2+2 but am a bit wiery about the whole sectioning/welding aspect. cheers david
  8. Link? There are plenty of aluminum ones but i think they wouldn't help many people out. Cheers David
  9. After having a further look into it i have been thinking about the ttt coilovers but the price of 1700 plus 300 shipping then possible gst has started me thinking of sectioning but i was wondering how much all the parts will add up to. do the hsd sleeves come in pairs? And what will a decent set of struts cost? Cheers David
  10. I think bullzed all ready has 15x10 wheels and was after the wheel covers not the rims. David
  11. Thanks for the replies, i am going to look into either sectioning struts or maybe modifying some coilovers to fit. How hard is the sectioning? i have access to a welder but i will need to buy new shocks and then the sleaves and springs. Any rough idea on prices? cheers david
  12. I have been trying to get some info on lowering springs for my 260 2+2 and have struggled when it comes to super low springs. I am unable to find 260's in king's super low spread sheet online. I am wondering if the 240z lowered springs will give me the same drop as "super lows" in my 260? If so (appart from the lowered height) will there be any complications with the ride height being lowered by approximately 60mm, perhaps shocks may need to be upgraded at the same time? Are these the correct codes for the lowered springs for a 240z? Fronts KDFL-17, Rears KDRL-09. Cheers David
  13. this is looking good now. I dont quite know what happened with that video but if your using magic to get your tyres on the rims then thats cheating lol great stuff davo
  14. Yeah im well aware its not going to be good on my wallet, but im hoping the enjoyment i get out of it will justify the money it will be throwing at it. thanks for your welcomes David
  15. hi guys my name is David i have just started seriously looking for my first Z as room in my garage has appeared. I live in Brisbane and most likely will only be purchasing a 2+2 as im trying to keep it a little project that wont burn a hole in the pocket. (I have a feeling that will change once i get a car) So i am happy to finally be a member after years of just trawling the classifieds and look forward to all your support and knowledge. David
