  1. This event has been postponed until the 27th June due to local rain. Gives me more time to resolve the no start sometimes problem with my car. Believe that it is cause by the aftermarket alarm system fitted to the car.
  2. This event is on this coming Saturday, I plan to attend, anyone else planning to go? Cheers Peter
  3. Much to my surprise my RX7 pickup one of the trophies This is a FACEBOOK posting from the organisers of the event. Well our ALL JAPANESE DAY '15 has performed beyond our expectations with a count of approx 620 cars. That's a brilliant effort from all that attended it was a super day. Cheers to all that helped out in some way, much appreciated. Also congratulations to the winners of the 3 trophies, Danny with a MR2, Peter with a Rx7 and Gavin with his Skyline. Also I was impressed with entries as far as Western Australia, Victoria and of course New South Wales, obviously we are making a name for ourselves as one of the shows to be at at least once a year. Thanks again Marek
  4. The Eudlo Car and Motorcycle is Saturday 13 June. We would love for some of your members to attend and show their Nissan Z's on the day. Eudlo is a beautiful, little town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It's a scenic cruise to get there off the highway which is why we think it's the ideal town to hold a car and bike show. We're taking registrations for vehicles now. Could you please share this information with your members. If anyone is interested in coming we would love to have them. To register, they just need to send an email to eudlocarandmotorcycleshow@gmail.com or message the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/eudlocarandmotorcycleshow If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact Sean 0468 306 404 or Rochelle 0434 114 700. Kind Regards Rochelle and Sean
  5. What a great weekend at the Nissan Datsun Nationals 2015 at Morgan Park Raceway in the lovely country town of Warwick Queensland. I arrived back in Brisbane on Sunday night totally exhausted after attending 4 full on days of the NDN 2015 event. I drove the (loan) 260Z up to Warwick on the Thursday and arrived around midday to assist with the preparation as will as get all the documentation and car preparation done. The weather on Thursday was fine but very cloudy but Friday, the first day of competition, looked even worse, then Saturday the sky opened up and it was wet, wet , wet but the event went on at full steam ahead. Well the gent who provided me with the 260Z had some very bad luck on the Friday when his race 240Z suffered a major mechanical failure and was withdrawn from the event. Fortunately he was able to register as a dual competitor using the loan 260Z I had been driving so for the remaining events over the Saturday and Sunday we drove the wheels off that lovely totally factory standard 1974 260Z. We were listed in different groups for each event, David in Group 2 and me in Group 5 so David would run first, fly into the pits after his run on the track, we would change over the transponder and vehicle number then I would hop in helmet on seatbelt on fuel check and then line up on pit lane for my run on the track. That poor car got an absolute ponding over the weekend but didn't miss a beat. David's times were unbelievable for a stock car just running tarmac rally tyres and I was pleased with mine which got faster and faster as the weekend progressed. We went on the track in all weather conditions, fine, light rain then very heavy rain, and finished the event with our and the car's body and motors fully functional and running smoothly. The main thing I just loved about the 260Z apart from it's looks was the amazing torque, I could just leave it in third gear for most of the circuit, no matter what track was in use and it would just pull it's self through the corners and thunder down the straights and all I had to do was get the braking and the corner apex right. I am almost a covert to the Datsun Z but not quite, still love my beautiful series 5 RX7, just need to get it back running again and on the road. I have attached a few photos of our Test Driver and race car tuner for the 260Z and it is through her efforts that the car ran so well. Enjoy, Cheers Peter

  18. Nissan Datsun Nationals Easter 2015 Below are copies of posts regards the upcoming NDN 2015 scheduled for the Easter Weekend in early April. The Event will be held in the lovely Queensland country City of Warwick, with the Show and Shine event in the centre of Warwick and the motor sport events at the great Morgan Park Raceway. The Nissan Datsun Nationals for 2015 are being organised by the Z Car Club of Queensland, and are scheduled to be run over 3 days from the 3rd to the 5th of April 2015 in the lovely country city of Warwick There are a range of events such as Show and Shine, Super Sprints, Regularity, Bent Sprint and for the socially minded a Mystery Tour. If you are looking for something to do over the Easter Weekend why not come and have a look or better still why not participate. What you need is a vehicle preferably a Nissan or Datsun but not necessary, a CAMS level 2 license, membership to a CAMS affiliated club, helmet and a spirit of adventure. For more information please go to this web address. http://www.zcarclubq.org.au/ndn15/ Time to lock in some dates next year guys & gals.... NDN15 is going to be a "highlight" for all things Nissan/Datsun! Supp Regs & Entry Forms are ready to go out - with one of the "best value" event packages ever for a Nationals event. With up to 3 days of motorsport events planned at Morgan Park Raceway on various track configurations - this will make ALL the effort of interstate travel worthwhile. Other activities planned for show & shine & social tours etc. Looks like it is going to be a fantastic Easter week-end , the info and talk with the Just Flags people the other night at the ZCCQ meeting was great, the competition and Show n Shine side of things looks very well in hand, well done to the organising committee 10/10. I love the concept of the Bent Sprint, it looks very and a great idea, along with the Super Sprints and Regularity, and we all get to start playing Friday afternoon. Anyone disappointed about not having the drags, consider the bent sprint, basically a drag with 4 corners on the new extended section of track. We will all be on cold tyres and brakes
