  3. This is an unfinished project ! but is very close to being complete, drives and runs, it is in the final buttoning up road tests and working out the kinks. I have receipts for parts that total around the 30k !! Most parts bought at trade price Most of the work has been completed by myself or friends in the trades, except where things needed to be done by the pros. All rubbers and bushes replaced with new, if not replaced i have the spares to replace (90%done) 6. front pedders sway bar. 7. all new steering components apart from the rack ( ball joints, rack ends caster rod bushes etc ) Brand new set of RLCA to be fitted 8. Re trimmed seats and the rest of the interior has minimal damage. ( dash has cracks in it ) 9. New carpet kit 10. full Autometer ultra lite guage kit, with Blue back lit LED 11. New brake master, 7/8 12. Modified fuel tank to take in tank pump with swirl pot. ( Will take any pump you want to use ) 13. braided brake lines. May need replacing 14. re trimmed door trims, just the outside section. still looks factory less the chrome strip 15. R200 viscous LSD (re built) 3.7 16. All new diff mounting hardware. 17. Custom fabricated 4130 CV shaft setup that uses a SS CV for easy replacement ( not that it will need it ) 18. Rota wheels 16x8 Grids. Now i did have the 17x9.5 on it and look f$#@n Mad, but these ones will clear engineers cert. They come with second hand racing, street legal semi slicks. 19. new steering wheel. 20. Heater hoses have been replaced, along with nearly every other hose on the car. 21. Modified/ re build radiator with 16inch thermo. 22. all new sensor package for the engine, oil, water etc etc etc. 23. Pod filter, new 24. Cut and welded quarters for extra large wheels. 25. new wind screen and rubber 26. custom engine mounts and and cross member 27. Full custom stainless 3inch exhaust with high flow stainless cats and muffler, also comes with Cat delete pipe. 28. New diamond cut headlights. 29. Nearly every screw, nut and bolt has been replaced with an Allan key bolt of differing types, T handle Allan keys and a cordless drill will be your best friend on this car. It comes apart and goes together very easily as all has been striped, cleaned, re built and re fitted with new hardware 30. New door locks and ignition with new keys. 31. New window runner inserts and rubbers. 32. New carbon fibre gear knob 33. new pedal rubbers. 34, Centre console has been redone to delete the old choke cable holes etc, 35. new clutch master cylinder 36. new fixed position seat belts. 37. RLCA (not installed) 38. RT diff mount (not installed) To be totally honest i never built this car to sell it, everything that has been done was to bring the car back to new. I was going to keep it for ever. i never dreamed of selling it. once i was to get it registered i wanted it to be Finished ! well not finished but reliable. Car will be going on Ebay today also. I have autometer gauges in mine, the tach needs a tach adaptor to work properly, about an extra $100 The speedo is easy, as skyline gear has an electronic signal, just hook up to the sensor and calibrate on a 5klm run. It it is easier to get some back strapping and bend to shape for mounts, with a wing nut on the back. The tach adaptor can be mounted under the dash. It's a little square box. Do yourself a favor and use LEDs, these are an extra cost.
  5. Hi jamo I have a set of original belts from my 73 sitting in a box in the garage, they are not the clip in type, they hook into each other, their clean. I replaced with new clip in fixed belts, I like to be pulled tight into the seat when driving. Pm me if your interested ?

  12. If i had a choice in the matter id be leaving these on !!! I will be getting another set later on. Looking from the top down they fit under the flares nicely. For anyone that wants to put a couple on their car to see is welcome too do so. These wheels will put a bit of natural camber on the car. It does track a little on uneven roads. To be expected with wheels this wide. I'm home every afternoon and around most weekends working on the car if anyone wants to come have a look.   13. Hi all I am being forced to change my wheel an tyre setup so i will be selling my Rota's RB-R I'm pretty sure. I imported them some years ago and paid a real premium. Fronts- 17x9 -13 offset with 245,40,17 Nexon N3000tyres Rears- 17x9.5 -19 offset with 255,40,17 Nexon N3000 tyres Gunmetal Grey with polished lip Tyres cost me $230 each fitted. I know new sets are alot cheaper then i paid so I'm asking for $1500 or best offer for the set with rubber. I don't really want to separate the wheels and tyres. 3 x as brand new 1 x has a small mark on the outer lip, my dog knocked the wheel over onto the garage floor when i was working on the car, very minor scratch that would polish out with a bit of elbow grease. The car has never been registered so these wheels and tyres have only done maybe 100-200 klm These will fit the standard suspension setup but you will defiantly need flares with all cut panels. I run a 73 240z and there is no scrubbing. Even at full lock. You would also need to trim the front spoiler if fitted, Just where it returns into the wheel arch. Easy done with a grinder. These are on the car at the moment and wont be available until next weekend, maybe the following monday. Need to get my new wheels on first. This is happening in a few days time.   15. Have you got any pic's of the wheels for sale ? wouldnt the offset be stamped on the back ? ? If they come in under what i need then i may grab em and have them as a legal set.
  16. Does any one know whats offset in a 16 x 8 wont increse the wheel track by more then 25mm for a 73 240z ? +4 or +10 im told ? and what wheels rota do in that offset. Or can anyone tell me the math formula to work this out for myself ? Any help would be great guys.

  19. Nah your right mate, Ive been doing a bit of research on this topic. It is a real sticking point for me. My guards and quarters are already cut to accept the 17 x 9.5. I have to get an engineers for the RB25DET conversion, a bit hard when my wheels are to big. So i have two options, 1 i put stockies on it, get the engineers, then put the real wheels back on or find a nice set of legal wheels that will suit my car with cut panels and flares. the information i received today is that if i run a 16x8 in a +4 offset then it should only increase the wheel track by 25mm total, that is the maximum aloud. But custom wheels for this option and$2100 with tyres is an issue if it don't come in under the measurement. Id like to keep the car legal, but if push comes to shove and i don't like the look, back to the 17x9.5 it will be. just getting paranoid about cops giving me grief. Weather 16x8 would suit a car with flares is another issue. Do you run flares ?
  20. Hi RBX, Im currently looking at this setup as a legal option for my 240. Is there any way you could measure the wheel track, Front and rear, from the center of the wheels ? I have a wheel track that the engineer whats me to be under 1384mm for the front and 1371mm for the rear, If you could help me with this information it would be greatly appreciated.
