  1. here whats left
  2. I've got a series 1 280zx partly stripped but its in Bendigo
  3. I'll give it a go next year, Its not just the class regs that bother me its the scrutiny of presentation that can get out of hand, not an easy task when my car is a gravel rally car. Hopefully with the Bendigo car club running it this year their will be more focus on good competition. The earliest 240z i've owned was a series 1 build number 98 a matching numbers car that had no Aust comp plate which always lead me to believe its was 1969
  4. Has anyone ever raced a 240z in class Sb or argued it can be done. Was looking to compete in the historic Mt Tarrengower hillclimb this weekend 13th 14th Oct but could only enter in invitational open class. The cut off year for cars is 1972 for Mt T, so it only has class Sa and Sb
  5. Pm'd $200 to $400
  6. I've got a few 4.6s just not available till the end of the month
  7. Would of liked to tap it just don't have one that large so got a 15mm welsh plug, which suprises me they make them that size and smaller. Yeah not just the plate fouls the two bolt heads do too. At that point of the z pan the rail is wider and flater that the rest of the pan, which should stop the welsh plug from ever backing out. I'll take a photo of old pan
  8. Here's the hole i have to fill 14 to 15mm Picture is of motor now with z pickup and a pic of the plate vs pan.
  9. I'll back this up with some photos but had a bit of a snafu in the shed tonight making a front sumped L28 to a zed rear sump. Motor is a L28 f54/P90a that came out of a R30 skyline, some signs tell me this motor originally was a ZX motor ie the rear dipstick stem is still on the block, just folded over to close off and the current sump has a dipstick welded to the front bowl. I took the fr sump off and found a fr pickup at the front of the block and a second block off plate at the half point of the block. Easy I thought, use the block off plate on the front pickup point and fit a Zed pickup mid point with Zed sump pan. Problem is that front block off plate and its two bolts now foul the Zeds pan (not a problem with front sump coz thinner frame and deep bowl) What do I do here? would have to block it off but with what? maybe a welsh plug? Steve
  10. It reminded me of the local hoons who think of themselves as shit hot drivers, come out to our track and get beaten by a $500 Skyline. And funny enough we never see them again.
  11. Did anyone see LA street racers on nat geo last night, v8 240z I think its replayed sunday.

    WTB locked diff VIC

Yeah I'll have to look at getting the one in the car CIGd if I can't find one. Just seems a shame to ruin a good working diff. Interested to know if a r180 fits in the 280zx
  16. Wanted to buy r200 locked diff, Anyone got a locked diff they're not using? I'm after a standard ratio 3.7 or similar to suit a 280zx dirt track car in Victoria, thanks steve
