  2. Funny you say that Jason, I had preliminary discussions with FOSC following the 2010 event, about holding a Nissan / Datsun day on the Easter Monday following the 2011 Goulburn Nats. As you are aware, Bathurst FOSC 2011 didn't happen and as such discussions came to a halt. My understanding of one of the reasons FOSC didn't go ahead in 2011 was something about only one organisation being able to run regularity blah blah and also that part of the event was for car manufacturers to get involved with product launches and the like. If this is the case, then each year a different manufacturer could support the event and all the revelant clubs attached to that manufacturer attend. 2012, being the "off" year of the NDNs, would be awesome to hold a Nissan focused FOSC event.
  3. Quite the contrary. It is on each year. 2011 will be Sunday 21st August 2000 Classic Cars Datsuns will be represented by the Sydney Datsun Club (26 cars), the Sydney Z club and the Classic Rally Club. http://www.councilofmotorclubs.org.au/shannon-eastern-creek-classic.html
  4. The Marulan Driver Training Centre is booked for us on Good Friday for us as a test and tune day. $100 per car.(+30 unless you have a CAMS L2S) A great way to shake down your car before the Sunday Wakefield day. Also a good oportunity for interstaters to sample another track. Just send Gary an e-mail to reserve a spot. http://www.mdtc.com.au/contactus/index.php Marulan Driver Training Centre is about 20km north of Goulburn ad easy to find.
  5. http://www.my105.com/3833 I built this trailer two years ago. I had it at the Nissan Datsun Nationals at Warwick 2009. Being only 2m wide, 2.3m high and 6m long, it will fit in most single garages (and fit though most McDonalds drive-thoughs) Makes a great mobile workshop. You can crawl underneath the car which is great for bleeding brakes, clutch, and changing fluids etc... Bad weather is where the trailer really comes into it's own. If it's raining, you (and your family/pit crew) stay dry, or if it's sunny, it makes a great shade. You can drive straight in and open the drivers door fully. Trailer brakes are twin spot sumitomos (260Z) Wheels fit 240/260/280Z Dad will be towing his 240 to Wakefield Park (FOSC) in it this weekend (11-13 Feb 2011). Please buy my trailer so I can spend the money on my Datsun.
  6. There is a very simple explanation. Jon Ovington is the web site designer. His name follows the article simply because he uploaded the link. Referring to the article, the author's context of "antisocial" isn't very clear. The intent of the use of "antisocial" when applied to drifting, is what I beleive to be a general public oppinion.... especially when plied on public roads. I (and Jon) appreciate a good drift as much as anyone. There is an awsome amount of skill required. Obviously a LOT of practice is needed to develop drifting skills. A driver venue such as what we are pushing for can accomodate all forms of motorsport. We are being offered very encouraging support from the motor / motorcycle industry. Stay tuned. www.sutherlandmotorsportparkland.org.au
