Looks like i missed out, have visitors from overseas so i haven't been checking up lately.

Just watched the movie not long ago, its a great idea but your right about it having a lot of planning and preparation required (CB radios and radar detectors are illegal aren't they?) If you plan on doing it in a couple years time ill def have my zed by then plus it wont be illegal for me to modify the engine as i will be on my full license, yeah for turbo I surprisingly still have all my demerit points (hope i haven't jinxed it) haha

If i had the space to finish this i would be all over this, good luck with the sale.

For some people the fun is in the restoration knowing exactly what and how the process of restoration was undertaken and knowing that at the end of the day the final product is partly of their own making, i have been extremely tempted to just buy a cheap car and work on it over time, however we have no room whatsoever so im stuck with dreaming for now (i cant wait to get my first car, im 21 now so its really annoying not having a car to work on to keep me occupied)

Hey all ive been following this forum and looking out for a 240 for a few years now but from what ive seen there has been a huge jump in the cost of zeds especially the 240's. Just out of curiousity i went through my dads collection of just car magazine from 2005, 2006 and even 2007 (not every issue) and in the older magazines it shows the cost of a 240z being a minimum 2500 upto 15000 for a clean example, however, in the new issue it shows the minimum cost of a 240z rising to 8500 with a clean example pice set at 30000. Can anyone confirm that the cost of zed's is rising and why they are rising so fast? At this point i no longer believe it feasible for me to buy one (my dad is looking at getting me a 05 MX-5- they are so ugly IMO) so i may need to wait another 5 years or so, but then again the price may continue to go up. What is everyones take on the zed's and there potential future costs.

Such a shame those Zed's have been left out like that, hopefully in the next year of so i will have a Zed (doesnt seem too likely), but i will agree that some information i.e (cars for sale, parts for sale section) should be for registered members only (ill donate once i get a Zed then i can really feel like i belong ) Its great that he gave everyone the opportunity to come and have a look at his cars, pity some people took advantage of his generosity.

Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your father passing hope your coping well, wish i could say i owned a Zed or would own one soon but i cant. I cant really tell much from your DP but it looks really nice in that pink (i cant believe im saying that) seems to have a strong color. Cant believe you haven't driven it yet im kind of jealous but hey i hope you get a chance to enjoy it soon.

I went and took a look at the Z down my area and well the rust is way worse than i thought, its rusted everywhere and its been bogged quite a few times, its a 2+2 but couldnt tell the model. I guess im more likely to get a Zed though since they are way more common

Just curious which datsun Zeds had bullbars because there is one around my place with one but tbh i have seen so many pics of Zeds and none of them have one, ive been meaning to go see the one around my place but i haven't been bothered and whenever i pass it i try and see which model it is and i think its a 280z because of its hood scoops but not sure. So which Zed models had bullbars? some background: its been sitting there for over 10 years, before i moved here but i have never been up close to it just seen it while driving (passed it for most of those years going to school), i will try and take a couple of pics of it tomorrow.

I actually contacted the guy he sold it after like 2 days, i was going to buy it too :'(
