  1. actually live in buxton, but no one knows where the hell im talking about, so i just say picton
  2. ive never given my cars names its always "the sil", the "the 240" ect my brother/friends aways give my cars names that ruin them :'( but when talking to my parents, its the white one the red one the purple one the new one
  3. cars in a carport/shed with a blanket and car cover over it for now bled the clutch and put the shifter back in, droped the damn circlip and lost it though seems like it doesnt like going into 1st and 3rd though :'( if i can get some oils ect for it, might try and get it going this weekend these are on the way for it from japan SSR reverse mesh (i think) 15x9.5-6
  4. thanks that was exactly what i was after btw i dont have to run a cat in the 240 do i ?
  5. well i ended up getting the 9.5-6 for the rear guess ill see how it goes
  6. for a 240z with a L28 first just double checking filters oil- z115 fuel - do i use z92 for the 240 or z202 for the 280 Fluids engine- what just a 20w-50 (obviously not the $5 stuff) or a bit thinner/thicker ?? about 4L ? gearbox- VMX80 ? about 2L diff - EPX 80W/90 ? just over 1L ? radiator - coolent colour/ none at all plugs - BP6ES-11 thats about all for now ill think of more soon im sure thanks
  7. yeah my old NA s13 had just a open wheeler, sudked to drift, was very uncontrolable but after i chucked in a 2nd hand viscous it made it alot better the 180 was pretty much a stock car, lowered springs, cat back and boosted a lil. still using the stock viscous diff from what ive read (forgivve me im learning ) diffs for a 240 arent a normal r200, and therefore expensve a cheap option is to get out the welder, but im not a fan
  8. also need drivers side window
  9. dont tempt me to drift my 240 when its going what kinda off diff do you have, if its an open wheels that will be a large chunk of your problem and that skidpan looked not that great of a setup ie really small this is an old one of me, and one of the only vids ive got, not the best of runs
  10. yep its going in a semi enclosed shed as soon as my brother gets home to help push it + with a tarp or something over it so it doesnt get full of dirt and water then when i get a change ill get a decent car cover (probebly wait till i start at autobarn, staff price ftw ) yep its manual
  11. Car rocked up in my drivway a few hours ago 240z with a L28 Short term plan in the next month or so is get it up and running, spray it ,rego, then drive it as a run around for a bit. Then go from there the whole floor/undercarrage had been redone in the last few years, looks as new and supprisigly from what ive seen theres f### all rust in the whole car, theres a bit in the boot floor, thats its from what i can see (besides lil minor bits and pieces) unfortunetly though the guy coldnt find the drivers side door window rod from the firewall to the carbie linkage filter box and front and rear bumpers Needs an exhaust from the extractors back so the hunt begins for that anyway thats it for now
  12. picked it up today, needs a few moore bits than i first thought
  13. lol i wish to much $$$$ pretty much put it back together, get it running and drive it around a bit
  14. who ever just bought that front bumper on ebay, i hate you
  15. woops copy and pasted the wrong one ment to put up the 7 in ones i know they come with the halogens, the ill add a hid conversion kit
  16. ive done everything from daily driving to track days on streached tyres havent had a problem
  17. basically once the 240 is on the road its going to be a daily run around for a little while, so i want some good headlights. I was driving my dads old morris minor for a while, its not fun when the cars behind you cast a shadow of your car in your own headlight read few a few old topics to get an idea of what i need, but just want to make 100% sure pretty much ill need a H4 hid kit (either autobarn/ebay/ lots of other kits on the net) semi sealed beam lights from narva (autobarn staff prices FTW ) and then i have to get a relay for the H4's either buy the one from black dragon auto http://www.blackdragonauto.com/ICATALOG/Z/full.aspx?Page=61 or make something like this then just chuck it all in just wanted to make sure
  18. no probs if you do have it, let me know how much you want for it and is someone has some of those parts laying around the shed, let me know please
  19. i see you do the daily trowling through Yahoo as well as much as i'd love a "devil z" if i was going to spend that much on a conversion it would be SR maybe even a NA+T for high comp and instant boost
  20. twin turbo, gate + screamer shame its minimum 3g buy it now 4.5............. plus postage maybe start another tread of "yahoo auction- rare and interesting parts" ?
  21. yeah when i checked it out the only rust i saw was about the size of a 50c piece in the boot floor looks like its had a patch up on the drivers side door sil and doesnt really have rust in the usual spots from what ive read it was parked in a corner with stuff all around it, but before i pick it up, its going to get jacked up to check the undercarrage ect just found a number saying they were selling a Z on a forum, was local so i checked it out yes if you have that rod that would be extremly helpful pritty much i need the rod between the accelerator point on the firewall and that linkage on the carb. Filter box Front and rear bumper please let me know if youve got these
  22. im thnking something like this 15x9-14 on the front 15x9.5-6 on rear but dont know how they would sit on a 240 or F15 × 7.5J (minus 6) R15 × 8.5J (minus 19). but there too skinny to run a streched tyre on
  23. i would never put a rb20 in anything, even a silvia where its pretty much a drop in wire up conversion stuff spending 6+g on putting one in if your going to go the RB route, spend the lil extra and go the 25 much better engine i myself, sticking to the L28 for now, but i would love to see put a SR in one thinking a NA+T so you have the higher compression so it comes on boost near instantly, plus it will be a lil cheaper. not going to get huge numbers, but 180rwkw with near instant boost in a 70's car is pleanty
  24. yeah ive seen them, i like the offsets of the 17s, but im not sure if i want to run that large a rim and by the looks of the 15/16 width and offset, there a lil skinny and sunken for what im after :'(
