Lurch, you are mistaken, unless i'm the only one with a L6 Lynx manifold I installed the manifold and Dellorto's today and the linkage dosen't mach up to the linkage rod on the firewall, maybe i should post a photo. Are you sure the float high is right on the front carb, it sounds to low to me, are yo looking for SU needles or Hitachi ?, here is a link to a SU needle chart http://www.teglerizer.com/cgi-bin/needle100db.cgi?Needlecode= but it won't do you any good. If you have a bend needle, you can straighten it out its not that hard, take the needle out of the dome piston, put it in a cordless drill or another drill machine, while you let it spin, you just touch it with a piece of soft wood, by pushing the wood a little harder, you will slowly straighten it, you will not be in doubt when it is straight, when seeing the needle spinning freely. Hope this makes sense Chris

I'm about to do the same thing, but the 240Z mph speedo have some kind of relay (US spec) on the back side, i think it have to do with some emission stuff, who cares, i pulled it all off, i just don't want to skip the relay if it have to be in use for some reason. The km/h speedo i have is from a JDM Fairlady and the housing must be the 260Z kind, so i also have to swap the guts in to the 240Z one, now on the 240Z is one wire coming out from the face disc, but there is two wires coming out from the Fairlady speedo, what is the other wire for ?, i really can't see what it is there for, it just disappears in to the middle of the gauge. Please help me out here mates. Chris

Lurch, what interest should i have in a RHD Zed, you can keep those but not your parts Mr240Z, thanks a bunch, hope you are still up for this after reading, what's below. My ex with her new husband, my daughter, his daughter and the daughter they have together (he's, she's and theres, what a mess) is out travelling for 3 month, so here the other day when they were in Cairns i got to think about how cool and also a great experience it could be for her if someone half way around the world, looked her up saying hi from her ol dad, now they are in Sydney and on wedensday they continue to New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, etc My daughter doesn't share the same passion for my Z as i do, maybe it is because it never have been on the road in my possession. What i don't know is how her mom will react, so just looking her up saying "hey girley we are going for a ride" could make her mom a little harsh. I don't really have a plan, but could suggest something like this: going to the hotel where they are and for an example bringing some ice creams for the 3 girls (i will of course cover the expense, i can PayPal), telling Katrine hi from her dad, maybe giving her a hug from me, show them the ride and try to see if they are up for a trip, all in all i will be open for other suggestions, what is important is actually the greeting, it will tell her that we are thinking about her and miss her and it will also make her so proud of her ol dad, i even think it will make her understand why i spend all that time in the Z community behind the laptop.
