What I think has happened is that people won't view the car in person, so bid sky-high thinking the damn thing's perfect! Or maybe there is ebay 'tampering' going on. How easy would it be for them to set up a program that shill bids for them in order to raise their final value fee?

Hey mate I'm after the passenger side door trim escutcheons that surround the interior door handle. Not interested in colour, just condition. I'm also after 3 plastic trim fasteners that retain the tail light trim in the luggage compartment. If you have either, that would be great.

Hey guys- Stuff is going down at work so I'm looking to sell my 280zx It's listed on ebay for a starting price of $1500- let's see what happens. Very minimal rust and a half decent 2 pack paint job from a year or so back. Interior isn't bad barr the driver's seat which is a goner. The engine was reconditioned in Canberra maybe 6 years back (unsure of km) Everything works and she goes well. If it doesn't sell I'll probably have to part it out- I'll gauge responses first. Well they say that headwork, bigger cams etc doesn't always make for a positive result. Some of the pom magazines I read publish the results of dyno days where regular joes bring in their cars and have them dyno'd- the results are mind boggling and rarely correspond positively with the specs of the engine given by the owner. Bog stock cars smash the HP results given by cars that have had thousands spent on them. I guess the dyno tune is the only way.

Zeds on your doorstep Doctor z.... I'd much prefer that to a procession of modern 4 bangers- but that's all that Wagga's got!

Maybe you should just drive it and enjoy for a while, work on the interior and obtaining other bits and pieces, and then when you feel motivated get stuck into the rust repairs.

Cheers Lurch- will they will suit a 280zx? I emailed them and they said they didn't make a set for the zx.

I'm quite off topic here guys and I apologise- when you're talking of rebuilding an L28 carb engine, are you using a different cylinder head casting to that used on the L28E? If so, where do you guys get extractors for L28 engines? I've got an L28E and can't seem to locate a set of extractors for it... or if they were ever made?

JIC anyone wanted to know the PBR part number for the 15/16" MQ Patrol MC is JB1430

Thanks for that Scott- it sounds like the way to go. So the 1" MC will deliver slightly more fluid than the 15/16"? And they will both bolt up in line with the re-routed fuel lines? Are the Patrols wheel cylinders/calipers/rotors the same as the 280zx then? Any other Nissans share the same components to keep the price down?

Thanks guys I'll give that a try I've heard you can't buy master cylinders any more, just the rebuild kits? Not so smooth sailing with these zeds is it?
