  1. Original and concourse...not quite and not worth the asking price I would think. - L28 in 240z - wrong wheels - wrong brakes - not the best colour (sorry) - wrong steering wheel and gear shift knob - not the best collectible plates. Anyway, I think $20-$23K would be a good price for the seller...$18K for a buyer. Good luck to the seller!!! Hope you get a good price as I will just boost the price of my car .
  2. Yep, I figured the most important part of the operation was to have a good brace. One that will bend if I hit something, but strong enough that it won't move at high speeds. It also needs to be properly braced before paiting. If you are coming to the Jag club you can check it out. I think it is perfect. I saw the other brace from the other post and found that it was a little overkill.
  3. I guess you can get lucky if it lines up well...all cars are different I guess...especially with a full ground up restoration I will bring it to the Jag Club if I make it...99% in though.
  4. Just got my front spoiler completed on my 240z. It was purchased from All Z Parts in Sydney and is Urethane. It was installed by my mechanic and was apparently a pain in the you know what to fit perfectly. Urethane being so flexible needed heat moulding, support brackets and a tiny bit of cutting before any painting. The paint also needed a good amount of flexible agent so it does not crack which is a little more expensive. As seen below (hopefully pic came out) I am stoked with the result. Would I have preferred Fibreglass?...Maybe easier to install by just cutting, but hopefully this will last longer if I hit anything. Stew.
  5. I will try to make it as I am fairly new. I will also bring my 240Z as it is the only car I have (public transport to work). I will have it back from the mechanic with my new front spoiler and service. See you then hopefully. Stew.
  6. Alan, I spoke to Rankins Restorations and he said that you are getting your front spoiler this week as well...it wouldn't happen to be through All Z Parts would it? I got mine from there. I think it was Peter I spoke with (I always forget names) and seems like someone I would want to deal with...he said he doesn't know the cost until he sees the size but maybe around $200. Thanks.
  7. Cheers, I noticed that after I wrote it...meant, good value for money!!! I will give them a call.
  8. Does anyone know of a cheap (but good quality) paint job for a front spoiler (arriving next week) for my 240Z in the East or SE of Melbourne? Cheers, Stew.
  9. Thanks Dimitri, I was a member of the NDSOC but have not paid up my membership as I get more out of this website...not really into Nissans. I may have met you before. I have an original 240z with the number plate LDZ240. I might head down to Hastings on Sunday for their little get together and have a look who is there. Anyway, I saw that roll cage and I think he would take $1,200 but I am just after a half one at this stage. Cheeers.
  10. Thanks for that...i will give them a try and check out the cost. i was looking at one in Victoria to avoid delivery and possibly second hand as I just would like it for some regularity events. Appreciate it. Stew.
