  1. A reasonably well known car on this forum, see build thread here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2043.0.html DAT240 is a 1973 240Z (Australian delivery) which was built for club racing. The presentation is more that of a race car than a show car, despite which it won best modified Z at the Nissan Datsun nationals a couple of years back. It also won fastest in its class with a 1.09 around Wakefield Park and it runs a 12.8 second quarter mile. 6-throttle L28-based 3166cc engine makes just over 160kW at the wheels with the current tune. As the thread shows a lot of metalwork was carried out to eliminate rust and the car features many fibreglass panels and carbon fibre components. The driveline, brakes and suspension have all had a lot of work to match the work done on the engine. It has 12 months rego and the plates are included. Also included are many spare parts including original interior trim panels, dash, bonnet, hatch, glass, L24 engine, extra wheels and tyres etc. (will do a list later) The car has appeared in many magazines, most recently in the current issue of Performance Garage (pics attached). The price is $40,000 which I think is fair considering what some 240Zs are being listed for these days. Build cost was over $60,000. Located in Sydney.
  2. This car will soon be for sale. PM me if interested.

  11. Started pulling it apart for a tidy up of the paintwork. Haven't found anything of much concern so far, my 240Z was in much worse shape when I bought it
  12. Didn't get your PM
  13. Need a pair of 240Z Hitachis or SU carbs (1.75 inch) in working order, with or without manifold etc. Also after a 260Z 2+2 console and gearknob. Can arrange courier pick-up from anywhere Cheers
  14. You may need to roll the guard edges a bit depending on your offsets. These are +5 front and +8 rear.
  15. Not at all, 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Achilles
  16. Just picked up another Zed yesterday, a 1975 260Z 2+2. It was on Gumtree for about 15 minutes before I went and bought it. Has a few 1980s modifications I need to get rid of and a few paint issues, but very little rust. Floor and rails are perfect. I think I'll have to learn to live with the sunroof, but I have already swapped the 14-inch Dragways for 16x8 and 16x8.5 Watanabe F8 type. Also discovered the reason it ran badly was one of the carbies was seized. That was an easy fix. Plan to get the engine (L28) breathing a bit better and sort out the paint problems. Will go back to chrome bumpers too. Then... drive around for a while and sell it I suppose. Here it is before I drove it home and then with the new wheels fitted.
