I paid $112 for mine 18 months ago from nissan direct but i think i got trade price. Try warren at all z parts, it will most likely be a genuine nissan part that he supplies, but perhaps without the retail nissan price tag

Hi all, I have some questions for those in the know about wheels, offsets etc. I have a 260z 2 seater. I have some second hand simmons v4 wheels with no tyres, they are all 16" rims the rears are 8.5" wide with 114mm backspace and the fronts 8.0" with 105mm backspace. I suppose my question is does anyone out there have these size rims and backspace running standard gaurds? I need to fit tyres to these rims and concerned that i may not get tyres thin enough to ensure no gaurd rub. What the the narrowist tyre you can run on these size rims? I read somewhere in the forums that the maximum recommended backspace for rims on a 260z is 114mm, is this the same for front and rear? Thanks, all help appreciated....

Hello all, Just wondering if any folk have had experience with renewing/refreshing the interior plastics/cowls on the zed's. Mine is in complete conditon but badly faded and discoloured and getting a little brittle. Short from buying new ones my immediate thought was to prep them with some plastic primer and go for a re-paint. Has anyone done or attemted this? Does it greatly effect the texture/profile of the plastic? Are new ones available in Aus? Any help appreciated. Cheers, Crowe

Hello all, If anyone has or knows someone that wants to part with some glass sashes please let me know. There are a few different types, 240's and early 260Z's have a different style to the type I am chasing, a late model 75/76 260Z 2 seater should be the same as the ones pictured, the bolting configurations are the main difference. Good condition is preferable but if you have anything better than the photo please get in touch, rust is okay, just not big holey rust beyond repair. Cheers, crowe

Hello all, It has been many months since i have logged on to this site and the changes and new look are impressive, congrats to all involved, its great. I have been hiding under a rock for the last while and finally dragged the dust covers off the old zed to look at completing the resto project. The best part is certainly putting bits and pieces bvack together rather than the last 4 years of pulling them apart. I did have a question for those in the know about nickel plating, i did a quick search and coulnt find much discussion on it. As many of you well know the plating that comes on many components gets to the point where is detorioraties and surface rust occurs on bolts, headlamp shrouds, bonnet catch, fuel filler neck, winscreen wiper arms etc etc. Does anyone know where these parts and be recoated in a similar to original coating? Do components need to be sandbalsted before coating can be re-applied or didped in some chemical. Any help or explanation on the process would be appreciated. MOst of the components can be easily freighted so I am looking for anything in Aust.. Congrats on the name change too, a couple of pics attached of engine rebuild FYI cheers, crowe

Warren fron All-Zparts in sydney has them, from memory around 300bucks, his number is 02 9785 2098. I bought mine from brisbane, a bit closer fro me and the price i think was $220, they will freight also if you like. This company is called exoticar designs, they have two different moulds to suit the zed, once with airducts and one without, person to speak to is fred 07 32770108, they dont have any in stock, they just make them when you order cheers, callum

Does anyone know what the go is regards to the radiators available in the zed's. Mine needs a recore and i got some prices....ouch......most companies say that the radiator out of 76 260Z should be 3 core but the one i have is only 2 core Can people fill me in on what type (apperently there is different sizes too)and how many cores your rads have in your Z cars. cheers, callum

G'day Everyone, I have just joined VicZcar. It is great to finally find a Aussie Z site where there is some activity and forums etc etc. Very cool indeed. Sulio put me onto the site and I am most grateful. I am midway through restoring a 76 260Z and based in regional QLD. I am a bit isolated so it is definitely good to see some online activty and ideas sharing. I was wondering if anyone had ever had the orginal sports steering wheel from a ZED restored and contact details etc etc, Mine has seen better days and the moulded rubber is falling off and pretty much beyond repair. I would like to saty orginal if i can but alternatively i could get an aftermarket wheel, any suggestions on brands etc that fit nice with correct offsets from indicator and wiper stalks. I have been through previous posts and not found much so ideas and your experiences would be great. I also uploaded some resto pictures to the gallery which i think worked okay, not very exicting but pictures none the less. cheers, callum
