Hi Guys,

I'm in Melbourne until next weekend and I've decided that if people are interested in these parts I'd consider selling them while I'm in Melbourne. Otherwise they'll go back into storage until next time...I can't be bothered right now running around to post things I'm afraid but if a member in Melbourne wants it and isn't too far from Caulfield area I might be able to drop stuff off.

Alternatively I'll be driving back to Sydney, but I honestly have lots of crap to cart back as it is, so would rather not bring stuff unless I really have to.

S.U Carbs - British (not sure what they were off originally).

IMG_20131230_193232.jpg

Doesn't come with an inlet manifold but does contain some throttle linkages.

These have been in storage since year 2000, so would advise a rebuild and clean up.

Price: $100

Lower Lip / Chin Spoiler - Requires drilling into lower valance. - SOLD

It's red (not my 240z colour but another red - was never on my car). Has some stone chips so needs painting anyway to be honest.

See this thread also for more discussion on it.

Price: $200

L24 Rods with Pistons

As pictured, pretty sure they are stock pistons on it. Out of my 72 240z's L24 block. The previous owner tore down the block and left it in pieces before deciding to slot an L28 in the old girl.

IMG_20131230_193811.jpg

Going to price at $150 - Would be good for stroker build.

60's style bullet mirrors (metal not plastic) - SOLD

Comes with rubber gaskets and screws for mounting.

Got these on eBay many moons ago. Plan was to install them on my 240z but change of heart now. Still a cool mirror but I'd prefer an original style mirror. 1 of the rubber trims around the mirror glass is a little wonky which might bother some, otherwise practically brand new.

Would swap for an original 240z AU market drivers side mirror (or 2 if you have them?).

Price: $150

L14 Rods a set of 12....

I didn't take them out, they look the same as the L24 rods but obviously are a slightly different length.

Very rare to find now, and not sure if I want to sell them just because I hunted for these high and low. Mike (NZeder got me 4) and I got some from Japan and another from a Datsun specialist in NZ who I heard has since past on sadly.

I had a look around on Yahoo! Auctions and found some sets.

Note: Part number is shown here:

Price: $900 due to rarity. Enough to build 2 strokers. :)

If you need to get in contact my mobile number is 0434 520 498.

If I happen to find anything else I don't think I need / want I'll list it in this thread. If it doesn't sell it will all go back into storage.  8)

Modified Door Cards.

A bit shabby as you can see, but they could help someone out with no door cards or something even more shabby :). I was going to keep them as a template to make new ones etc.. but honestly don't think I'll ever get around to that.

I replaced mine with some OEM ones.

Scuttle panel / windscreen cowl.

IMG_20140102_135541.jpg

IMG_20140102_135558.jpg

It has surface rust but nothing major and is fairly straight.

Price: $100 Sound fair?

Only caveat is that I don't know what's hiding under that paint, looks like it was off a blue donor car but my old 260z wasn't painted by a pro that's for sure.

Factory standard exhaust manifold to suit L-series motor.

Price: $50

Center Console to Suit 240z after 71 year.

IMG_20140103_144429.jpg

IMG_20140103_144435.jpg

As you can see it has cracked in the middle, mostly a clean break but it will need a little creativity to fill a gap. Also someone has drilled holes into the console at some point. I think for the choke? This could be a good candidate for dashboard doctor or similar to perform their magic on and return to new condition. The chrome trim is still in good nic.

Price: $50

Air Conditioning Bracket and Compressor for L-series motor.

I doubt the compressor still works, so selling as untested.

Price: $100

Schneider 300F Grind Cam Kit.

Kit consists of new billet camshaft, springs, retainers, lash pads, rocker arms and I'll include a oil spray bar - since it's not an internally oiled cam.

To be fair after reading this thread I'm not sure I'll sell it here.

Refer also here:

But each person / builder has their own opinions and so I'm putting this on the market just in case anyone thinks they can make it work for their application. If no interest I'll try Gumtree etc..

I should also mention that I'm open to swaps for other parts I may need for my projects or a donation toward website hosting would also be helpful.

Parts I need / am interested in off the top of my head:

1. Mostly patch panels / rust repair sections etc.. Sills, Floors, Rear Slam Panel for hatch. Doors, Door Skins etc.. Early 240z rear hatch.

2. 2 seater roof skin and or headliner.

3. Diamond Vinyl Interior Trim Kit (can be a bit shabby condition wise)

4. Original 240z mirrors - door or fender style both acceptable.

5. Air box to suit triple mikuni's

6. Hand Throttle Knob for early Z.

7. Drivers side door trim OEM (in good condition 2nd hand?)

8. Wheels that are not HotWire / Aussie Muscle car style.

IMG_20131219_171802.jpg

Peanut / Kidney bean 70s style wheels with decent tyres perhaps?

Try me..

I did wonder if another Z enthusiast saw it on the way.

I'll be glad to sell you the sunroof when the time is right. However that will probably be a while off at the moment. ;)

I'm not in a rush right now, it's the last thing on my list to be honest. But I do want to get rid of the Hot Wires, I shudder each time I look at them ;).

Other odds and sods I'm chasing whilst I remember.

1. 240z rear licence plate light unit (plastic).

Lisencelight1-300x225.jpg

2. 240z rear strut tower plastic covers.

3. Straight unbent rear tail light garnish - not urgent but mine is bent a little and might be able to straighten it out ok, but if someone has 1 cheap I'll grab it.

Carpet kit for 240z and early 260z 2 seater coupe. - Price $50 or web hosting donation.

This is out of my Safari Gold 240z, which has been sitting since 95. There was no rats or other infestation in the car, but like the rest of the interior it smells a bit old and could certainly use dry cleaning / carpet shampoo etc..

It won't fit a later 260z with the bigger rear strut towers, but the rest of the kit would still work.

It comes with transmission tunnel carpet, rear storage box / luggage area cover, strut tower / wheel well covers.

This was actually a well made and put together trim kit, and could be cleaned up and reused or use it as a template to make your own brand new set. I did manage to remove it without tearing or ripping it, so it is complete.

All yours mate, I'll box it up.

To think I was almost gonna turf it, but I figured someone would have use for it and like I said it's actually been well put together so will make a good template if you decide to go that way.

Thanks Gav.
