Just wondering if anybody has any experience fitting new felt strips and out seals "attached to the chrome strip" on there drivers and passenger windows.

Thanks to rare spares who assured me they would fit both items dont, and not even close.

Seems the rubber stripped is also attached the the chrome outside edging with staples, and idea's on how to fit new ones?

Thanks

If you have removed the old staples you may need an air powered staple gun or similar to fit. Something with some power and a suitable backing plate to allow it to travel through. Maybe even try drilling pilot holes and fix them that way.

You have to re-use the chrome stripping so be careful not to warp it. Manually straighten the staples & re-use to install the new rubber, use a tiny drill bit for each staple prong, & just neatly bend the prongs down again. It's a bit tedious but do it carefully & accurately & it'll come up fine.

Check your window glass for alignment in the frame & tweak adjust if needed before you install any new seals.

Mate if you are talking about the chrome strips which go along the outside window ledge with the felt attached, you could also consider purchasing the whole part from MSA / Black Dragon / All Z Parts if the budget allows. I got to the same stage as you, then received 260Z felts somehow etc etc, so just ended up getting a whole new piece.

Holy sheet, first post in months!!!

Good luck with it.

Last I knew, you can buy the whole assembly for $60 (each side), new from Nissan. Maybe if rarespares gives you a refund (which it sounds like you're entitled to).

I recall something about having to give them the HLS30 part number rather than the HS30 part number though..?
