RB30X Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Hi Guys, The gentlemen who purchased JET240 has been busy organising future mods for it and would like some advice. The list of new parts on order is making me jealous to say the least, but in particular he (we) would like some advice about suspension/brakes. An order has been placed for the following: Wilwood Front and Rear Brake Kit STAGE 3 1" Brake Master Cylinder Wilwood Brake Proportioning Valve The next step is ordering some suspension to match the performance this thing has. Ideally a direct replacement strut unit would be preferred so they can just be bolted straight in, as apposed to modifying the existing ones. We would appreciate any advice and experience in this area, and what to stay away from. The new owner has been studying up on this since his new purchase and will no doubt introduce himself at some stage. Thanks in advance (and I’ve got first dibs the car if he ever sells it so back off) Quote
luvemfast Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I'd have thought Arizona Z Car would be best. It's all bolt on. No reinventing the wheel. Quote
PeterAllen Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I suggest he buys a set of drawings from 'Wosa' and has the Wilwood handbrake bracket and cables made up. It shouldn't be left to an afterthought Quote

Ledge Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 HI Personally if it is predominantly a road car i would go the Techno Toy setup. I have the Arizona gear in my track car and have been in a car with the techno setup and the clunks and rattles are substantially less, On the street the Arizona would drive me nuts. Cheers Paul Quote
dat240z Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 With the wilwoods your halfway there. Get the AZC kit. I got the brakes and coilovers from dave and they are insanse. The coilovers are 3 way adjustable, and can be customed in so many ways. I got i think 220lb springs (softest out of his range) as my car is driven on the street, but you seriously cant go wrong. If your suspension is on a softer setting and with a sensible spring rate there wont be any bumps or rattles... It all depends on the theme of your/his car... but dude youve put an ls1/6speed/willwoods all round... dont go soft now!!! lol I used the 15/16 master cylinder/skyline r33 booster and wilwood prop valve... A tip, make sure you remove the stock prop valve (near fronts) and install prop with rears turned down, or else it will alsways bite and lock the arse first.......... Quote
RB30X Posted December 10, 2012 Author Posted December 10, 2012 Thanks for that guys. It's pretty much a toss up between AZC and TT. Does anyone have any good links to where we can see people who have installed this gear to get a bit of an idea. Quote
