sexual_sushi Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Hi guys, I'm sure most of are you are aware of the Speed Hunters website, The website is known for its quality photos and they have started releasing an anual photo album, "This 400-page softcover book chronicles the entirety of 2011 through the lenses of Speedhunters’ worldwide crew of photographers. The result is an unparalleled photographic document of global car culture." This sold out quite quickly but I have found that you can still order the book from the publisher Stance & Speed. Check out some of his other books while you are there too, great books for gear heads Anyway I ordered a copy, I have only looked through half of it at the moment and spotted a couple of Z's already. Here's some pics of the book on a sexy yellow background Quote
thriller Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I snagged #1027. Friggin postage nearly cost more than the book! Honestly not too happy about that, and hopefully next year they actually send a batch over to an Australasian distributor beforehand. Great book though! Quote
sexual_sushi Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 How much did you end up paying total? The Stance & Speed website is selling them for $125 delivered. I make photo albums as part of my job and for the number of pages and quality of the book that is bloody cheap! I wanted to make a book for the forum but cost was I was looking at $150-200 per book, but I suppose i was looking at making maybe 20 copies whereas the Speed Hunters guys have the benefit of doing a run of 1500 which brings the cost down per album. thriller Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 I absolutely agree, it's great value and I'd have paid that much for it in a book store happily. Ended up being about $145 I think? Paypal had also tacked their fee onto that. It's just a bit of a kick in the nuts that you're paying around $70 to get the thing shipped. but all in all, very happy with the purchase, the quality is amazing for the price. Loooots of eye candy Quote
luvemfast Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Sooooooo................... Who's bringing it to the Xmas BBQ? Quote
saxon Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 I'll bring it Simon if I get it in time, just as long as you don't get chocolate sauce on it Quote
KatoKid Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Sooooooo................... Who's bringing it to the Xmas BBQ? Grown men, tightly packed in a circle around a publication breathing heavily.......picture that. Quote
