Hi everyone,

I'm probably the last of a large bunch of people you might know to announce this, but like many I'm doing Movember! This will be my 5th year in succession and I would like to imagine that each year the mo's have slowly become more and more bushy and more manly overall but I'm probably just imagining things :P

The Movember Foundation support some great mens health initiatives through the funds raised every year as a part of Movember. The most notable charities they support would be BeyondBlue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Mens health issues such as prostate cancer by and large are overlooked as most commonly being "old man illnesses" and not worth investing in research to help find a cure, but I have seen what it can do to some of the nicest guys I know. If you are feeling generous enough to tip in a couple of dollars it would be greatly appreciated, hell maybe one day I might not have to grow a ridiculous moustache if they are successful in their overall goals!

I'll throw up some photos of previous years efforts as I find them, and also some of this years once it looks a bit more like a mo and less like a smudge/shadow on my upper lip! Anyone else doing it should post here too, let's see those mos!

Cheers,

Alex

Edit: Some awful looking previous efforts:

2009:

2010 (look really closely on the left, it's definitely there):

I have photos of my 2008 and 2011 efforts somewhere, just have to go digging for them. 2008 was by far the most filthy and therefore the best one though.

Hi mate, as a survivor of prostate cancer, thank you for what you do. I did the Movember thing once and didnt raise much money so now I just donate to the first one that pops up on this site. I am going to chuck $100.00 into your fund and challange all the rest of members to match it if they can. Doesn't matter if you can afford it, $1.00 will be as good as $100.00 believe me it is going to a good cause and as always, if you are over 40, get your doctor to check your PSA levels. If I had not gone down the Z car path and had an accident during the process, I may not have found out that I had cancer, so the Z has been my life saver and will never be sold while I am still kicking.

Just keeping this at the top. Feel free to join the Z Team if you want, but if you are doing your own thing, GOOD ON YA. 8)

Hey all those sporting a tash could maybe keep them for the Z BBQ this weekend and we could get some photos. Perhaps we could even pass the hat around and make a donation?

Those be fighting words my friend! This year's efforts are significantly better, it seems I finally crossed puberty at the tender age of 22, it's a shame my iPhone thinks I should still look like a bum fluff wearing teenager:
