Hi guys,

Can anyone help me out as to why my drivers window is rolling up on an angle towards the front of the car?

The regular itself is perfect, it must be in the adjustment, and I found a few guides to help me, but nothing that has assisted to much this far?

I have grease the rails up and it winds down perfect.

Gidday,

From my experience, albeit with Toyota's, that is often caused by the window channel (on the bottom of the glass) not being properly connected to the regulator arm. Have never pulled one apart on Z, yet, but that is where I would start

Hope this helps

Have you compared both reg's to make sure all the arms are identical in length? and angles? If not, the metal frame? that's at the bottom of the glass may have to be changed...

Worn window reg. some one needs to reproduce these.

We have the solution Mick, just need to pull our fingers out.

What it will most probably be is the forward slide on the glass, from memory it is a white plastic slide, these wear down and as a result the slide has excessive play within the channel, subsequently the window will start to drop when you attempt to wind it up or down, eventually jamming requiring physical lifting into position.

there is a short term fix which is to slot the mount points forcing the window frame into a tighter fit, but this is no answer to the problem.

Cheers

I had the sames issue. If u keep winding when its on an angle itll eventually die. My cause was a faulty window regulator + runners (need to straighten as a worn reg will bend rails). On other thing could be the bailey channel in the door is worn

all good actually!!! the more I used it the better it got. so I spent some time just winding it up and down and now it is perfect!

Lol nice.  Mine does the same, but i just grab it and pull backwards then leave a greasy hand print pushing it on the flat surface.  I avoid winding the window like the plague lol.
