zr240 Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Hi all does anyone know were to get the offset lower control arm bushes to suit the zed? Or anyone with rose jointed lower control arms they want to sell? Thanks Ash Quote
JP Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Hi Ash, AllZParts in Sydney had them at one point. Good luck James Quote
Toecutter Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Any progress on this Ash? I'm sure I've seen them on the net before. Craig L had some made for his V8 Z, I've got the artical he wrote up that supplies all the details. Pretty sure it will be posted very soon on the articals section of front page, will check. sulio Quote

zr240 Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 The ones on ebay are aparently for bumb stear. I want the bushes that replace the rubber and steel bush on the lower control arm. Thanks for tring though Ash Quote
620Z Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Re drill the holes in your front cross member. By relocating your hole up some 40mm or so and out slightly this will adjust your roll centre. I and many others have done this to there cars. Quote
620Z Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 This is how my car looks fixing the bump steer problem. You can see I don't have any plates to correct the roll centre. This is because the inner control arm has been relocated up some 40mm. Sorry no picture of that as the splash pan is in the way. Quote
Scando Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Yep, my car has had the same thing done. Seems to work well Quote
Toecutter Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Very neat Craig. We do have an artical Craig has written on this topic complete with pics and we are hoping to post at some point in the near future. Quote
Scando Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 One thing I forgot to mention earlier, If you don't want to re-drill the holes then try Noltec for bushes. I got adjustable rear castor/toe bushes through them. Not sure if they do adjustable front ones or not. Quote
nat0_240_chevZ Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 not flaming, but i had some new but old tc rod bushes from noltec and the split and fell out with just 3 hard laps around the block testing everything out, dropped the nolathan redies in (used) and still no dramas!!! just me exp so far, and yes noltec do/did make rear adj bushes but havent investigated lately. nato Quote
Scando Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 That's damn unlucky! Haven't seen any signs of wear/damage on mine. Pulled half a second of my laps time when I put them in too Quote
