You can no longer buy these carbs new Superior to a Weber 45 due to having accelerator pumps Period correct motorsport carb for the Z (sold by Nissan Comp/Nismo) These things are really starting to become pretty rare!! Yes i know you can buy new Webers set ups for a bit less, or a shagged set of 44 Mikunis for about half as much, but it's not a fair comparission. I own a set of new Weber 50DCO's and quality does simply not compare. This started out as a set that had sat on a shelf (also from Don Potter's workshop) for 20 years and buy the time you purchase, ship and reco them I think the asking price is justified. Please also take into account that these come complete with everything ready to go! All the parts required to fit bare carbs really adds up quickly. Currently all the above items are with Peter MC down in Victoria. Quote
biscuitballs Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 SHEEZ! Lots of high end gear here! Must be said though, the model certainly appears to know how to handle her camshafts... Quote

d3c0y Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 No one man enough for a real cylinder head? Quote
sexual_sushi Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I am if you are man enough to give it to me for $1000 Quote
luvemfast Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 No one man enough for a real cylinder head? The problem is that people think that is expensive for a head. This is an ignorance based idea, as they think they can buy a cheap head for under $50 and port it themselves. By porting themselves, all that gets done is cleaning the walls. Surely that makes it a ported head and will improve the performance right? WRONG! For a properly ported head. This is pretty much a good deal! I've spent more on mine. Problem is, we're all Datsun owners.......... Quote
lampy Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 This is a very good deal. The best bolt on HP you could get One area of a l series you need to spend a little money Quote
d3c0y Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 Yup you guys are 100% correct. This is consistent with the thinking that for $10,000 you can build yourself a 300HP 3.1L stroker. You can build a stroker for $10k and you can build a 300HP L28 but not the same engine!!! I am if you are man enough to give it to me for $1000 What are you proposing to trade for the other $1000?
