Howdy all just had a barnfind 20 years in a shed no rust original that I could see, only had a quick look red paint looks to be ok, covered in dust has some sort of roll cage in it, bob tail spoiler looks genuine oh and it is turbo with manual trans, it has been left with the targa off so you can imagine the amount of dirt and dust in side, I dont know if it runs,,or even moves.  after Idea's what would be a fair price.

As it sounds with the current description it sounds like something under $3000 if its an 86/87 Australian model, and its been sitting around getting dusty and not being used. I'd be worried that all the seals would have hardened, and many components seized, so don't pay too much.  If possible it would be better to get a nice one owner car with low kilometres and a full service history in great condition for $8000 especially if it's an 88 model, but that just what I would go for.

I think 8 k is a big ask for any z31. I coldnt get any more than $3000 for my near emaculate 1988 z31 turbo with a 5 speed manual. I would offer him $1500.

I would be very concerned with all the seals and vacume lines if It has been sitting that long. I would say that the injectors may leak from lack of use.  New injectors from Nissan for a z31 turbo are around $350 per injector  :o but with a bit of modification you can use rb30et you just need to run the vg30 non turbo fuel rail.

They all come with bob tail spoilers from factory.

Linton, I would let him know that your offer is serious and leave it with him.

You may be surprised what a little time and a lack of offers will do to his resolve.

You have nothing to loose.

Just my opinion

Unfortunately z31 turbo aren't worth very much. I got hold of a VG20 turbo manual with electronic adjustable suspension with a really good body and rare non targa roof in exchange for two cartons of beer !!!

In the end I moved the car on in exchange for some 240z carbies because I couldn't bring myself to spend money on something that I can sell on if I needed to. They are a nice looking car but the inside is very 80s

I found BNIB VG30T injectors from the US for > $400 landed in Aus for a complete set .........you can also get injector plugs for around $2.50 each ...........so there is really no need to modify fuel rails or wiring looms etc .

Also rear spoliers were only fitted to Turbo models or they could be ordered as an option from the dealer on a non turbo at additional cost.

cheers
