    WTB. 200ZR sump

I've been looking for my 26 z31 conversion, not too many options out there for rwd sump. if your happy with how many litres the cx holds and don't need to mod it, then its your cheapest option. Here's a link to a 200zr sump out of japan, but will likely cost you close to same as cx.. http://www.zdriver.com.au/index.php/topic/272-200zr-sump/#entry3720 There's also a mob called dryden that does custom ones locally but again more than cx.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I emailed them a few weeks ago asking if will suit z31 - and they didn't know :-( So my concern is whether this sump will clear the z31 crossmember. Has anyone here compared the difference in clearance when it comes to an rb26? If I could get a measurement of below would allow me to figure out if it will fit with no fab work; 1. crossmember to sump 2. front or rear of motor to engine mounts thanks again. Paul
  3. Cheers, yes looking to hold more oil and custom pickup. debating a modified gtr sump or custom. Was hopeful to find someone who has made these in a rear sump setup before as will be quicker than have my guy fab one up from scratch.
  4. Hey Guys, Looking for options when it comes to rb26 rear sumps. This will be going into a z31 - not sure how much difference if any there is in clearance for the same into a 240/60 etc. Cheers, Paul
  5. This will help you; http://www.zdriver.com.au/index.php/gallery/album/1-members-album/ On z31 300zx's early turbo wheels are 84-86 late model are 87-89
  6. Hey, just noticed this; http://www.viczcar.com/content/benefits-associated-online-seo-course As I see no topical relevance, or real benefit to either parties, have to ask is it spam? If these are related: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,14682.0.html There must be a setting that allows admin to approve new blog posts etc. before they go live.
  7. Given your average cali will sell for under 4k, if its a clean one, I wouldn't recommend selling it.
  8. your looking on the wrong website champ :-) Here's their details; http://www.zdriver.com.au/index.php/topic/38-timbos-87-300zx/page__st__60#entry2747 BTW I might be able to help, as also have a cali parts car.
  9. There's a few z31s for sale at zdriver.com.au or you can speak with barry from adelaide z, he has heaps of cars and bits being cleared.

    Z31 Spare parts

check out zdriver.com.au where z31's live.
  11. Interesting comments... Hard to work on, have to drop the motor, catch on fire.. Hasn't anyone heard of maintenance? I've owned a number of z31's from a hardtop 84 import to an 88 Cali. While not cheap to maintain, Never had issues as they were always maintained properly. The V is a bit tight but nothing compared to a z32 or other cars. I'm seeing them sell for around the 4-5k mark for a good one. Some ask much more, but the reality is there isn't great demand which reflects final sale price. One of our members was selling a clean Cali for 3k. Seems like a damn bargain! Not sure if he sold it tho. http://www.zdriver.com.au/index.php/topic/161-cheap-price-for-300zx/
  12. If your after anything z31 related, zdriver.com.au is your best bet. I just sold a Cali bonnet, but have all other bits. Cheers, Paul
  13. Participated in a interclub challenge last week and was a heap of fun. If anyone is interested let me know as trying to organise a minimum of 12 drivers for another run first week of December. Further information and updates can be found here; www.zdriver.com.au/index.php/topic/79-vic-go-karting-pre-christmas-bash/ Cheers, Paul
  14. Here's what I went with http://www.zdriver.com.au/index.php/topic/69-z31-intank-pump-upgrade-options/
  15. although in Melbourne, should be able to assist. some parts listed in classifiedz on zdriver.com.au
  16. Can anyone recommend a replacement in tank fuelpump for my rb26 in an 88 z31 project? Before you ask why, why does anyone spend too much on cars? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
  17. nice work & attention to detail. also had a quick look at your other project. Have you figured out what your going to use for fuel pump? I have a z31 which will be getting an rb26 and looking for a replacement intank pump rather than additional inline pump. Cheers, Paul
  18. Another z31 restoration, cool! For z31 advice, parts & chat feel free to join zdriver.com.au
  19. Although old, I don't think z31's are regarded as classic and this will still take some time. 240-280s is a niche as it was a sports coupe while the z31 was more of a cruiser. I think the appeal the 84 300zx onwards had and subsequent audience- following was very different and a mentality that many still have today. Nissan tried to recapture the pre z31 appeal with the 2 seater rb powered 200zr which never made it to OZ. For those with z31's your more than welcome to join zdriver.com.au Cheers, Paul
  20. There was a decent following on the old site and I got fed up of how poorly it was managed. I have a web background so am dedicated in setting up and evolving a premium site. Regarding z31's becoming a classic, yeah spot on, which is why I registered ZDriver.com.au for a broader appeal. Whether it takes off is yet to be seen.
  21. Hey all, I have finally after 6+ months managed to buy auz31club.com domain name and have also registered zdriver.com.au In the next week or so will be redirecting auz31club.com to zdriver.com.au. Have the bare shell site up and will be evolving it over the next month or so. Hopeful to get the z31 enthusiasts back onboard with a proper board unlike the free sheeet that kept stuffing up before. I've got many years in Zs and web so thought why the hell not as was over seeing the z site and local enthusiast interaction die.. cheers, Paul
  22. looks pretty impressive.
