260DET Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Yep, probably because I had a go at the Porsche latte sipping lot It is supposed to be a Z site but apparently the Eurowankers are in charge, pffft. Quote
nizm0zed Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 im no fan of hybridz, i got a warning for 'punctuation' because i didnt construct a sentence as per the harvard standard with references back to my advanced diploma in english... there are some decent blokes on there and there is a lot of good info, but they are up them selves in a big way. KatoKid Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I wouldn't sweat it guys. I'm pretty close to Ron Tyler one of the administrators and not Long ago some else here had been banned for no apparent reason and it was something to do with the way the site viewed their responses as it saw them as spam. Request reinstatement and you will be fine. David Quote
HS30-H Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Yep, probably because I had a go at the Porsche latte sipping lot It is supposed to be a Z site but apparently the Eurowackos are in charge, pffft. Maybe it's because you couldn't spell 'Porsche' properly one too many times...? Quote
260DET Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Well, there was a reference made to Porsch monkeys Quote
HS30-H Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Maybe you're in the wrong time zone to post on HybridZ? Late night postings after too many cold 'refreshments' can lead to trouble.... I think your problem with Porsches is more about their owners than the cars themselves. Porsche is a great company. Racing runs through their veins there, and they look after their heritage ( and the people who own their old cars ) properly. Nissan could learn a few things from them in that respect..... Quote
garvice Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Looks like my complaining finally payed off Quote
260DET Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Yeh my Friday afternoon postings can sometimes be a bit indiscreet, particularly when a new home brew is being 'tested' and some gold medals at last being celebrated But HybridZ has gone off lately, the general tech stuff has lost it's keen edge and the non tech section is heavily moderated for no apparent reason. So the motivation to be involved is no longer there for me, but have no fear, someone who left this forum in a huff is representing us Quote
Six_Shooter Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I find that HybridZ has some people, especially moderators and admins that have chips on their shoulders. Most of the dicussions that end up in the shed shouldn't be there, and when someone asks a simple question, they get insults and backlash, instead of help. I can understand not wanting to answer the same question over and over, but may of the so called "repeated questions" are not so repeated, especially when the information to supposedly answer the question is outdated. Apparently opinions can be wrong, and there "is no best". I absolutely hate reading the sentence: "These are 40 year old cars, there is nothing new to discuss." So what if the cars are 40 or 100 years old?, there can still be new things done to them. If it wasn't for many of the actual informative posts, I'd have absolutely no use for the site, and usually for many months at a time, I don't. Quote
260DET Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 My bet is that HZ is being allowed to run down and turn away those who might donate to keep it going. Then it can be closed down because there is no money to run it, Quote
