Rod F Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 I replaced my stock 240Z fan motor on the weekend with a unit from a 1989 Honda Prelude. Paid $20 from the wreckers for it. It's pretty straightforward, just need to change the wiring to the Z's spade type connections. The only other things were getting some washers as the rubber insulated ones don't fit the Honda, and clearance for the left side plastic demister duct, the motor pushes into it crushing it slightly, but the black plastic can be removed from the motor which helps a bit. A good improvement over my crappy old fan . I have photos of both fans together but I don't know how to attach them! Quote
Toecutter Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Hi Rod, I've installed the same fan. Keen to see how yours is working as I broke the old Z impeller and as a result it wobbles abit when on full speed! Quote
Rod F Posted July 18, 2007 Author Posted July 18, 2007 Here's some pics of the fans for reference. Quote
