modular9 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Hello All Just a hello. I am a new convert to zed cars. Picked up my car ( Christine is her name ) and drove it back to Brisbane from Newcastle. Didnt miss a beat. Lovely weather - shocking roads ! http://www.modular9.com/Christine/index.htm 260z 2+2 ( tickled 240z engine, auto ). My old falcon Xb v8 coupe is a boat compared. How dare you keep the secret of how good these zeds are, from the public ! Got lots of questions which I am going to ask later after I tear down the SU's ( from a jag apparently ) to run a kit through them. Thanks for reading the drivel of a very enthusiastic new convert! modular9 Posted June 4, 2007 Author Posted June 4, 2007 Credit to the previous owner. Older bloke who just had the car for 2 years restoring it then selling it on to fix his ute. Did everything himself the welding and painting in 2-pack. Rebuilt the engine did the exhaust. The bloke was a natural mechanic. as for the mods Roh chicanes ( if they fit )black centers. 1.5 inch lower job if QLd rego allows it. But over all i love the shape. I saw a post on here where someone had cut some flutes into the front guard that looked as if it shoud have been a factory option. Engine wise i probably will look at doing a triple weber or delorto ( have heard that without the right cam and exhaust delorto's can be pigs ? ) conversion, take off the aircon, and put a nice 2 inch system on it. It already has a pretty lopy cam in it and some serious bottom end work on the block. Looks like my credit card is going to be bashed. :roll: I could probably talk for yonks about the girl. by the end of this week you are all gonna want to ignore me ! :mrgreen: Quote

I've slowly started to appreciate great Aussie muscle cars over the past few years. Although I do love my 240z perhaps one day I'll have room in the stable for some of the Aussie favorites. Quote

Just got to get my 240z / 260z phase over and done with. So I can start my aston martin/porsche phase ! Great to see the migration to Joomla is going swimmingly. Quote

I don't think I'll be able to afford any of those muscle cars just yet. I wouldn't be able to afford a Z either it's only because in Australia (and in some cases the US) they are so cheap that us young fellows can grab hold of them. If it were Japan / Europe it may be another story. I had a few hiccups last night with Joomla, but I believe that was more related to my FTP program than Joomla. All going well the new format should be up and starting to take shape over the next couple of weeks. The only issue will be getting our gallery back up. Quote
