Hi all,

 

I was just wondering from those with really big motors in there Z's. What's there power to weight ratio ? compared to standard ??

depends on whether you've indulged in the upsized mcfatty meal or the standard.

My 240 with ls1 weighs approx. 1240kg with me and has 335 hp [250kw]  at rear wheels

having just done the engineering to get my mod plate approval orginal 240z was 1068kg with 160hp at flywheel My car with ls1 now has around 400hp at wheels cant say what weight is havent been really too concerned with that

Same weight as my two seat 280ZX with the VG30DET but mine has a bit more powaz :)

well i have no standard panel's on the car  i have 1 seat  all bolts that don't need to be on the car have been removed it has a 20L fuel tank ally,  its only got rear stop lights ,no lights at the front only ecu wire and its got a light weight battery all suspension is ally all windos are polycarbonate 2mm ex front window  wheels are light  as can be. hand brake setup is removed its got no heater or dash pad , its got a pedal box , no booster,  ally rad, inter cooler is as light as i could find ,

the cage is CM and it 35kg . I removed most of the Floor and fitted lighter steel , i removed the wheel well and replaced it with a 1.5mm sheet of ally  i drilled all hinges for the doors, the doors are 2.5kg  i removed the bonnet hinge Assembly

and catch ,,, replaced the drive shafts with lighter ones ,, theres more but i forget and its getting lighter as I'm getting in to it at the moment with the new body we are building all new airo kit ,,, heheh looks like a real race car now

All I can say is the difference between a L28 in a 1300kg 280zx and a 4.5 litre quad can v8 is monsterous...bring a change of undies

My Car weighs around 1,320kg and has 320klw's at the rear. 6.2 litre V8.....wesome to drive.

For the record the weight is 50/50 front to rear.
