Corsa224 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Any body know the location of where the low fuel light should be centre console or in the vent section next to the dash vents. If so any body have a spare they'd let go? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 9, 2012 Moderators Posted March 9, 2012 Never seen a low fuel indicator in any zed before.. Only lights in the console were the choke and rear demister. In the center vent was the brake warning light. I do have what I think is a US market center panel with a cat over temp light and something else. Will take a look again tomorrow. Quote
d3c0y Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Yeah Dimitri's right I had a '78 2+2 and it definitely didnt have one, no S30s do. Quote
gilltech Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 No that's not quite correct - I have a vent fascia panel among my spare parts which has two red warning lights in it - 'fuel' & 'ext temp'. I don't know the origin of the car it came from. Console also has hazard warning switch. Quote

Would be a californian car as they had pretty draconian pollution laws even back in the mid 70's, so more than likely off a 280Z. Quote
gilltech Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 This particular vent panel with warning lights came with a misc pile of mostly interior parts I bought about 7 yrs ago from a bloke who had parted-out a rusty 2+2 (to turn it into a paddock-basher apparently). The dash was RHD. So perhaps the car was a late-edition Z used import ex Japan. That might explain the extra warning lights, the door cards had electric window switches, & there were under-dash electric mirror toggles. Otherwise all the controls & gauges were the same as on my NZ-new '74 except for the clock which was a more elaborate design. Quote
Corsa224 Posted March 14, 2012 Author Posted March 14, 2012 That would explain it then, I've seen a few centre vent sections for sale with the fuel warning light, but prob us models or late model ones Thanks for the info Quote
