I know this may of been covered but Ive been unable to find anything on this.

I have a 77 260z 2+2 with a elec fuel pump, trying to figure out what to do with the 3 factory fuel lines that run around the rocker cover,

I know ones a fuel supply, ones a return and the other leads into the factory su manifold, not sure what that does.

The triples I bought are listed on my build thread http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,10451.45.html

From the picture I can't see a return line so I'm thinking I'll have to change that and add one but what to do with the third line?

Thanks

Depends on your fuel pump.

If its a diaphram type pump (possibly self regulating) it will get to pressure without a return line, and keep the pressure.

If its a higher volume pump it will need a fuel reg and a return to the tank. The reg can be after the carbs on the way back to the tank, or before the carbs and back to the tank and the line to the carbs will have no return.

That third line is for the emissions gear... you can make it "look" like its hooked up to pass a RWC..

Hi Chris,

As you know, there are many different options for running fuel lines to triples.  With or without the SU fuel rail, with or without a return line, in series or from a fuel block. You are really only limited by your imagination.

Here is a link with plenty of options. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=5997.0

I also came across some additional pictures when I did my own research recently.  I am going with the first option for my Z.  ;)

You can use the original 240 carb fuel rail for a set of triples; you run a through t piece on the back one and have the banjo fitting that ends at  the front and middle carb. The original fuel rail has the built in return so excess fuel goes back to the tank. I ran a set of triples like that with no issues and it looks clean and original.
