Nope, no good for a zed.

 

The seller's referral to it as a "stumpy" box and the smooth casing would indicate it is a stanza dogleg 5 speed, in which case it is a lighter duty box (type 63 rather than type 71, type 63 were only ever fitted to 4-cylinders) and is too short.

Yep, I've had the same box but in the longer version (out of a 180B SSS) in my 1600 for close to 20 years. Performed faultlessly all that time, till it got stuck in third at LapZ at the Lake the other weekend  :-\
