stevo_gj Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Hey guys, Handbrake cable snapped a couple days ago, gave me quite a shock. Did a search and apparently http://www.autocables.com.au/ can custom make replacements, but I may have to send my cable to them. Does anyone know any alternatives apart from that company? Cheers! Camo Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Hi Steve, I,ve just bought a genuine handbrake cable for my 280ZX from Nissan of Chesapeake in the US. Found them on the US Ebay motors site. Very helpful, good service and postage was very reasonable. Try contacting by email at mark.brinster@nissanofchesapeake.com . Worth an enquiry for your 260Z. Cheers Cam. Quote
DeWit Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 I used auto cables, Issue is that cables stretch over time. Mine came back to long and was a pain to work out for adjustment. Make sure they make the cable shorter then then supplied sample, Mine was about 35-50mm longer. Not much adjustment in the hand brake now. Food For thought Quote
