WTB WTT: 240z Tail lights

Hi everyone,

 

 

I'm looking to pick up some 240z tail lights. Must be the one from Australia, the one that has amber in it. I can trade you guys some USDM tail lights which look like this:

Buyer must be willing to ship to the US, and I will pay for shipping on my part.

They are pretty hard to get now mate, I found a spare set in average condition on eBay. I think I got them around $200 AU, by the time you pay for shipping and cleaning them up (re-plastic chrome) and paint the black line on them, polishes the lenses and remove cracks etc.. I think you'll be around $350-$400 in.

 

So if you can find a good set of OEM ones close to that I'd go for that. Although I've seen em' on Ebay US for $900 or something ridiculous like that.

 

If I was in Australia I'd try and help you out, but currently not. So hopefully others can help you out. Might be worth asking someone with contacts in Japan for them.

I know these are not original but are very good copies, you need to contact the seller, Ataka, as you can check out if you are not in the uS.

I bought a set of reproduction lenses, (lenses only, not the full tail light assembly), from Otomoto for AUD500 a few months ago.  They were shipped direct from Japan to Australia so I'm sure Ben could arrange shipping direct to the US.  Frankly for what I paid I thought the quality was pretty poor, but they still look better than the US spec lenses they're going to replace...

Thanks to everyone who posted imitation lights, but it's just not what I'm looking for. I'm more of an OEM guy. Trying to restore a series one 240z right now and trying to get my hands on a series one 240z right hand drive.
