Zedsded Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I'm after some reasonably priced aftermarket rims for my 260z to make it look a little tougher. I am pretty keen on some hotwires or simmons or something along those lines that won't break the bank, as I will eventually step up to some Rota's or Watanabes etc...when I have done all the other bits and pieces! Does anyone know if BBS ever made rims with a 4 x 114.3 and 0 to +15 offset? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 12, 2011 Moderators Posted April 12, 2011 Never seen the words "cheap" and "BBS" used in the same sentence! Best bet would be to get some good deep dish Performance wheels or look for something second hand. Even Simmons second hand demand high prices. Performance wheels are about $235 each for a 16" x 8"...cheaper second hand. Best thing is to check Benzed's shop as he sells plenty of good second hand wheels... Quote
Zedsded Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 I figured the BBS reference would look strange. I was thinking about BBS etc when I upgrade to some nice wheels. Just want something reasonably priced to get me through until then. Will check out Benzed. Quote
chris240 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Ive still got these floating about if they suit your style... http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,8037.msg76929.html#msg76929 Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 13, 2011 Moderators Posted April 13, 2011 Do you still have the Superlites? If they don't go, I'll have to take them... Quote
Zedsded Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 Chris240 - very keen on those wheels PM sent last night. Just have to work out how to get them from Canberra.... :-\ Quote
nizm0zed Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 http://www.e-go.com.au/home.do you can organise them to pick up from where ever you want, or maybe get Chris to drop off at the depot in Mitchell. Pretty decent prices too. Or you can use Greyhound busses, depot to depot. Quote
aidannn Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 hi guys i have a set of superlites with tyres for sale. check out my for sale thread. no problem posting. Quote
acf321 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Hi There I have a set of ROH 15" five spokes that are illustrated on the first page of my 'Brown Hornet' thread. These are straight wheels, thta come with almost new tyres (about 205/50 or 55 series). The wheels are in good condition and come with the OEM centre caps, but the best way to wear these wheels is to paint the spokes black and run standard alloy or polished lips. Have seen these wheels used on many early zeds and they do the job nicely. $400 for four wheels with tyres !! Cheers Adam Quote
Roberto Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I was going to hang on to these a little bit longer, but might as well sell them as I am going with zg flares and wat's. 17x7 inch APEC alloy wheels (ET40). Nice dish. 40mm billet wheel adapters / spacers to give zero offset Nexen N300 tyres with approx. 1000km on them (90% tread) 215/45/17 Can freight fairly cheaply (depot to depot) with e-go. $500 the lot or $450 without the wheel adapters. PM me if interested Quote
chris240 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Dim the superlites sold in 30mins from when I posted... Alan, I'll look into that courier link you posted...if I sell them I'll buy Robertos mags !! Quote
Zedsded Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 Just bit the bullet and with the strong Aussie $$$ ordered a set of these bad boys! Still keen on Chris240's wheels to have as spares, so if you can get a good freight price from the berra to Melbourne, let me know and I'll transfer you some $$ Quote
bryan3976 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 $100 for set of four will need new tires not actual rims but similar condition Quote
Zedsded Posted May 7, 2011 Author Posted May 7, 2011 After reading a lot about all of the different wheels I bought a new set of the Rota RB 16 x 7". I got a sweet deal from the US - about $700 USD delivered to my door. Unwrapped them today Quote
