hi guys, can someone confirm if the part number for a l28 spigot bush is  RSB520 both repco and burson supplied me the same bush.

I've tried everything and have researched for weeks on how to get the bush in.

Doesn't seem to fit no matter what i do.

-Tried freezing

-greasing

-hammer and wood etc.

have already ruined 2 bushes and need to know what i'm doing wrong. Some people say that some auto box's have a spigot bush already which must be removed, but i cannot see one in the hole.

Can the threaded part that the flywheel bolts to be removed? seems like it would fit further in the hole if i could removed the flywheel mount/hub.

Engine was formally attached to Auto box now converting to manual.

Any help would be great thanks.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhahahahahahaha!

Auto to manual converions right?

You cant knock the s/bush into the auto flexplate crank spacer as it's smaller'

just leaver it off the back of the crank & you'll see you can press the spigot into back if the crank without any problems!

have a close look at each end of the bush one end should have a wider shampfer than the other, make sure it fits over the input shaft on the g box first and carefully align it an gently tap it in , dont bash the crap out it like you probably allready have done

Best way I install the bush is with an old input shaft donated from an old gearbox; just place it on that and insert it into the crank. If you are local, you can use it if you want.

Yes I did. Was rubbing and squezing oil into it before I put it in, just slid right in with a little force. Do I need to put that flex plate thing back on for manual flywheel and gearbox or leave it off?
