luvemfast Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I've got a water feature out the front of my Z. It shoots out about half a meter from a hole in the radiator. Replacment time. Anyone recommend a good place to either get- (or opinions) *recore to original *new rad *aluminium rad or *A cheap Chinese Aluminium import? Experiences? Remembering that I have a 2 seater 280ZX, are they different from S30 cars? thanks, Simon Quote
Scoota G Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Would one of these fit? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ASI-3-CORE-race-aluminum-radiator-Nissan-280Z-custom-/300456004044?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories Quote
luvemfast Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 oh that is pretty Thanks Mark, I'll follow it up Quote
Scoota G Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I think thats one of the Cheapest in the range too, mine cost $350 but worth every cent. Quote

luvemfast Posted August 22, 2010 Author Posted August 22, 2010 I'll send you a pm with my details Alan. I'm going to have a look at the alloy one from Ebay tonight, hopefully. I'll check out what else the guy has in the way of parts for our cars while I'm there. Quote
luvemfast Posted August 23, 2010 Author Posted August 23, 2010 Benny just happened to be working in Laverton today and has picked up a new alloy radiator for me for $215. Thats a price that can't be beat Quote
Scoota G Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Was that an aluminium Ebay one you purchased? Be careful with the fins if it is as they bend easier than paper. Quote
luvemfast Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 Will fit it tomorrow night. Measured the core thickness last night and its acually 15mm thicker than the original 3 core radtiator, which can only be a good thing. Quote
benny Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Make sure you bed it in with atleast a 50M Powerskid Quote
dat2kman Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 try local NatRad dealer/shop Holden HxHz V8 rad fits, top outlet is a smaller diam than ours but it can work, and is approx 10% more water volume, bolt holes to our rad support panel need elongating. Good for a 260 shell, not to sure about earlier 240 shells. Quote
acf321 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Might not be that relevant, bexasue you're looking for a 'new' radiator, but I just had my OEM radiator sent out and triple cored. It looks excellent and most importantly is an original factory part. I know of others that did this to their OEM Rads, and the feedback is excellent. Perhaps a little heavier than an ally unit, but geez it looks good! Quote
