RB26DETT Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 not sure if this is a re-post http://www.frpautomotive.com/frp_240z_shells_clubs.html looks "interesting" Quote
C.A.R. Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 There was a guy in Japland making these, wasn't there? But these guys are in the UK - very interesting... Price: 4,750.00 GBP = $7,823.31 AUD + Shipping & import duty Quote
nizm0zed Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 does look very tempting, but where would you use it? For road use, you'd never get it passed as it'd be tested to comply with current ADR's as it'd be considered as either an ICV, a Kit car or as a low volume import. For many race events, it wouldn't pass in most classes, unless you were happy to compete alongside lambos, evo's porsches ect in full open classes. Even then, you wouldn't wanna crash it. Id be worried about how much impact protection you would have in a bag stack. Quote
hunterzed Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 There was a thread on hybridz for these guys with one of the workers from the place that makes them posting up pics. The original was made by his boss for himself and sought interest in production kits on hybridz. It practically has a roll cage incorporated in the shell of the car and is double skinned in most places. The new lamborgini is a complete monocoque composite shell as well with no metal chassis except for some of the mounting points. Quote
