I would be borderline if they were perfect badges.

I quite like the badges, but your car looks pretty cool how it is.

My vote was in the understanding you were putting Flamingo badges on......geez I wish I had taken photos of those!! Its just not as much fun only being able to talk about them.

After you've made up your mind about the badges, run some wires up to your pillar vents and have flashing indicators behind the emblems...magic, saw them flashing on a 370 the other week, thing I'll install some on my 240

Maybe it wasn't a 370, googling them up on screen they don't have pillar emblems...perhaps someone could tell me what I WAS following ? it was definitely a very late model Zed, slanting taillights, silver colour but had flashing turn indicators behind it's pillar "Z" emblems

I have a new set of plastic "Datsun" fender emblems if you're interested, cost me a fortune, I'll sell them at a loss but you won't like that price either

i know what u mean by small fortune for badges. i even got mine from the US at a discounted price but still doesnt leave u much change.

It's got me worried now, I won't be happy till I spot that car again, on the road or in a pic...the reason I have no doubt it was a Zed is because the pillar emblems were in exactly the same place and the same size as earlier Zeds

Stevo, your car looks great mate, spend much time getting those bumper bars to look so shmick ?

NZer, no not those...more like the "Z" lights in oldZman's link, in fact I think they were like that..but the placement of those emblems on the pillars looked absolutely factory and maybe the owner has just swapped the originals for flashing light ones

I'm not really up to date on the more modern stuff as you might have guessed, I'm into the old hacks, even a 240 is brand new to me, geez you can see all the parts available for Zeds, no problem at all !

You'll know it if someone gives you an intricate sample part from a rare 1910 motorbike to cast up in bronze...and that part was borrowed from the other side of the World, only on loan for the sole purpose to make one casting then sent back...how risky was that, I ask ya ?

not as easy as that, have to hole saw the panel and once installed it has to be sealed properly or water will enter the quarter panel
